Nice piece of furniture!
My TV stand arrived two days ago. Overall I like it, and it looks great! Unpacking: My TV stand arrived in a huge, heavy box, held shut with tape that was disintegrating, so the box was really hard to move inside from my porch. It was heavy enough that it took me and two teenagers to carry it into our house. I didn't try opening the box on the porch and bringing in one piece at a time, which I would have done with another product, because from the reviews I expected the TV stand to be all in one piece. But actually it turned out that I should have done that, because the shelves, top, and bottom were all separate from the main part of the TV stand, so I could have opened the box and had a number of manageable-sized pieces that I could have carried easily into the house, one at a time. Assembly: The main piece of the TV stand does indeed unfold like magic. Then you add the shelves and the top, screw in a few bolts, screw in the cabinet knobs, and it is good to go. This was mostly very easy to do, but there are four pegs that fit into holes in the bottom shelves, and one of the holes on my unit is not in the right place to match up with its peg. So right now that shelf is tilted, and I will need to drill a new hole for the peg to go into. But the holes are underneath the shelf where nobody will see them, so this repair will be invisible once I do it. Also there was a bolt for the top that would not screw in to its hole until I pushed on the back panel a little, but then once I pushed on the back panel the bolt went right in. All the hardware that I needed was there, plus four washers that didn't seem to be anyplace in the instructions, so I am not sure what I was supposed to do with those. The steps in the instructions were easy to follow. Each piece of the TV stand had a sticker on it that matched up with its step in the instructions, which was super-helpful for knowing which piece to put where. And the steps were brief -- it took maybe fifteen or twenty minutes to have everything put together. IMPORTANT TIP: Attach the doorknobs *before* you close the cabinet doors for the first time! The doors are fairly hard to open if they are closed without knobs. I closed them and then had to use a kitchen dinnertable knife to reopen one of the doors, and I was worried that the knife would mark up the furniture. Smell: The TV stand has a smell to it, kind of like furniture polish. The packaging in my recycle bin has filled my garage with this smell, and for the first day or so the room with the TV stand in it also had this smell, though now it seems to have dissipated. I only smell it when I open the cabinet doors. Packaging: The box says, "Made in China." There was plenty of packing material to protect the TV stand -- it arrived in perfect condition. Summary: Overall, this is a good-looking and sturdy TV stand. I am pleased with it. It looks durable, so I expect it to last for many years. The future: Someday when I move to another house, I don't know if a piece of furniture that unfolds and then is held together with pegs and a few screws will be sturdy enough to be moved, so I am concerned about that. But sitting in my den this is a really nice piece of furniture. I expect to live in this house for years, so it will be a long time before I need to worry about moving it.

So Impressed!
I can't remember the last time I ever took the time to write a review but was so impressed with this purchase I had to share. This is a quality piece of furniture. I have done some research and read all reviews. Leick furniture has been around for a long time and has an excellent reputation for making quality REAL furniture...not particle board laminate with decal overlay finishes like Sauder. This unit is a fantastic design and beautiful assembly process! Arrived fast and not a single scratch or blemish. I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this due to some concerns others have brought up such as the smell or the color being lighter than expected. So here are my responses and opinions after having received the product: 1.) Smell...there is none really! Yes, if you lay your check right on the surface and inhale deeply you will smell the aroma of a new wood product that smells like it was made with quality but not some sort of industrial stain or glue smell. Maybe others have had units that were somehow not fully dried but this was not my experience. 2.) Color is a nice cherry with a slight amber. Looks deep and rich; not washed out like one other reviewer's photo seemed to indicate. All other reviewer photos look very close to the color of the unit I received. Maybe that one reviewer's unit was somehow a bit off but I suspect it was more an artifact of the photo lighting. I have tried to include photos in different lighting conditions during daylight hours with light from my windows as well as in the night. Certainly the exposure of the photo can change the appearance of the color but believe me the color is indeed an accurate representation of the product as shown in the listing. If anything it may have a richer color with a bit of shimmer rather than the product listing that seems to show a more flat color. But it is a deep rich cherry color that is less reddish than a true cherry. Basically the perfect color for complimenting the furniture in a room with actual wood tones. 3.) Size is Perfect for my 55 inch TV! Seems that most TV stands for large screen TV's are either 60 inches wide (too wide) or around the 42 inch width (too narrow). I have have a 55 inch TV on it and the width is PERFECT! I also like the 20 inch depth that gives me room to actually rotate the TV for different viewing angles in the room as needed. Most units seem to be around the 16-18 inch depth so the extra couple inches in depth is perfect without being too deep and bulky. In comparison I would not recommend the "Sauder Palladia Panel TV Stand" which seems to be comparable but less expensive. I saw that unit at a local store and the quality was terrible. Gaps and poor fit and finish everywhere...and that was on the display model. Not to mention that the assembly looks like a nightmare. Yes it is a bit cheaper but one could easily tell the the laminate surface was little more than a plastic sticker that had already begun to peel up from the corners and edges on the display model. Buying it would be a mistake unless it is needed for an ultra cheap throw-away occasion like a college apartment or something. In conclusion I would say that if you are looking for a TV stand to fit a 42-55 inch flat screen and wanting a nice wood unit this is a perfect choice! A unit of equal quality at an actual furniture store would be in the ballpark of $600 or more....believe me I have been shopping for one for over a year.

Quality product, securely wrapped, attractive
After we upgraded to a 50" Bravia TV in our home we needed a new piece of furniture, and we looked at about 15 other items before selecting this "TV Stand." It's more than a standard stand, and we love it. Here's why: 1. It's made out of wood, not fiberboard with a veneer that can warp. 2. It's a warm color that blends with our decor. 3. It's easy to set up. The hardest part is opening the box. Once I did that and verified that I had all the parts, I followed the advice in the instructions and waited for my sweetheart to assemble it. The main part of the cabinet opens up like an accordion and then other parts slide into place. A perfectly-sized Allen wrench is provided for tightening the parts that bolt the top to the frame of the unit. Everything else is done with a standard Phillips screwdriver. 4. The assembly instructions are well written and illustrated. The parts are clearly marked. 5. The slots in the unit allow us to put wires inside the unit, instead of cluttering up the outside. 6. The unit arrived without any visible mars or marks. 7. Some units have a finished side and a rough side for their shelves. All of the sides of the shelves are finished, so they can be inserted in any way desired. 8. It looks great in our home. To recap: high quality, good color, the right size for our TV, looks great, and will probably last for a decade or more. It did take us about two hours to install, but about an hour of that time was deciding where we were going to store the cable/satellite box, DVR, laptop computers, and other items.

We are very happy with this cabinet. Our 65” TV fits perfectly on it. It was easy to put together and is attractive. It seems to be sturdy.

Fabulous piece of furniture. Would buy from Leick Home again in a heartbeat!
This is an incredible piece of furniture! First, the piece arrived in great condition (and was delivered early!). It was very well packaged and everything arrived in perfect condition. All of the necessary parts were included, easy to find in the packaging, and easy to install. Second, assembly couldn't have been easier. We have assembled countless pieces of furniture over the years but this was the easiest piece to assemble ever. The engineering of the piece really sets it apart. We couldn't imagine what "hinged" assembly might mean, but that's what it is, and it worked beautifully! The front and back of this TV console are connected by hinged inner dividers, that allow the front and back to be lifted out of the box, and set on the floor as a whole unit that is very stable. The sides, bottoms, and top then are set in place, held by wooden pegs, pre-engineered slots, and easy-to-install metal connectors. The doors are already attached to the front of the unit, all we needed to do was attach the knobs for each door. We had this assembled in less than 30 minutes and it looks fabulous! This piece of furniture is going to last! This is a lovely piece of furniture that suited our needs and blended in with the rest of the furniture in our home. Beautifully finished, real wood veneers were used in this piece, and the glass in the doors is beveled glass. We have just moved into a new home and will need other pieces of furniture. For those other pieces of furniture, I am actually looking at pieces made by Leick Home first! One thing to note is that this is SOLID and that means HEAVY. It took two grown men using moving straps to move the shipping box into our house, and it took two adults to lift the front and back assembly unit out of the box and set it on the floor. After that, it was quick and easy.

Really Nice TV/Stereo Receiver Piece Of Furniture
I needed a new TV stand for a larger TV I bought. This is a beautiful piece of furniture and it fits the new 65 inch TV perfectly on top. Also my Onkyo receiver fits nicely inside the cabinet along with an old CD/DVD player although the CD/DVD player doesn't get used much anymore. Assembly was straight forward and without issues. One person can do it without help. All the holes aligned and all of the hardware was there. It was packed securely with plenty of padding so nothing was scratched or damaged. It is a heavy piece of furniture so, after assembly, I put some of those furniture sliders under it in case I needed to move it out from the wall. If I wanted to nitpick a little, I would prefer the door handles and the metal around the glass doors be brass. That's a personal preference though.

Easy assembly
This is by far the easiest assembly that I’ve done in a very long time. Looks nice as well. The frames are solid but panels are particle boards.

Doesn’t take a genius to put together
Great unit for a TV console. The value for the $$ was great considering the prices for similar options at this big furniture stores. The engineers that put this unit together must have been genius or have put an IKEA cabinet together 😆 It’s heavy but once you unpack the parts it’s less than 30 minutes to put together. The genius is the accordion like unfolding of the base itself. That in itself leads you to the next step and so on. Look great. However I chose the non cherry color and it was a little darker color than I expected since I had bought some end tables under the same name and style. But for the $$$ saved I’ll go with it.
