It holds your soap for shaving. Seems to well made and color is as advertised. Holds 1 shaving puck with room to spare.

A very nice finish makes this little gem a classy looking little piece upon your vanity. If you chop up a 2.25 oz glycerin soap cake and put it in the microwave for just 15-20 seconds and pour it into this bowl and allow it to cool you'll avoid the clatter of the soap cake knocking about. This bowl will hold two 2.25 soap cakes melted down and give you about one quarter inch remaining to the lip and allows the top to be seated without resting upon the shave soap. If you like more room in your bowl to work up a lather one soap cake melted down is less than half full giving you plenty of room to work up a rich lather. I'm still working through my initial filling up of melted glycerin shave soap and the bowl is holding up nicely. I just hope the wonderful sealed finish will last for me to fill it more than just once before wear and water eventually damage it. While time will be inevitable in wearing out this bowls finish and wood, I hope they're still around when that time comes because this really is a nice buy.

This does what it's supposed to, but it's not as pictured at all! It's much more red than this image. I'll add a photo if I can ever remember to do that. Seems unlikely.

I was surprised how good it looks. Much better than the picture. I was able to press in my shaving puck, no problem. Looks good on my sink when I'm using it. I have quite a few shaving soaps which come in their own container so this is my first bowel where I needed to load a puck. Very happy with it. It's made very well and would differently recommend this one.

IT does exactly what I wanted. It holds my shaving soap keeping the sink area nice. Its cheap and does the job so I love it.

The color is way off (it is orange) and it looks nothing like the picture online. My photo makes it look less orange that it actually is. Very disappointing for the price. Plus, the lid is warped...
