Community Helpers from A to Z (Alphabasics)

Love, love, love. Excellent book to show children many different types of work or occupations! It is all real pictures and a child can easily understand just from viewing them.

This is the perferct book to have for those homeschooling and/or studying community helpers unit with little ones. The pictures are big,, bright, and colorful. Each helper's description is short yet informative.

This book is great for K-3. You could expand the curriculum for older children easily. The book uses the alphabet to teach children about community helpers. Each letter is for a different community helper, and the letter Y stands for You! This book draws the reader in and creates an environment where they can better understand every person in their community. This understanding translates to respect for everyone and the knowledge that every helper is indispensable.

I am a director of a Christian based children's club, and use these books as part of our program requirements. Good pictures are a must. Love it.

Age appropriate for kindergarten.
