Best Rolling Pin I've ever used
I grew up with my mom's old wooden rolling pin. It was pretty big, but as I got older and more germophobic, the idea of wooden anything in the kitchen started freaking me out. When I started supplying my own kitchen, I was militantly anti-porous material, like wood. I bought a not inexpensive nonstick rolling pin, thinking, "Nonstick! Nothing will stick!" Every single time I used that rolling pin, as dough morsels but no flour stuck to it, I cursed it, and thought terrible, terrible things about it, how bad it was, and how hard and far I would like to throw it off a cliff. Finally, as Christmas approached, as I was dwelling on how much I hated and dreaded using my rolling pin, I thought back to my mom's rolling pin and how I never had problems with hers. I decided that I would finally end my irrational aversion to wood and just buy a rolling pin that works. I did some cursory research on wooden rolling pins and how much I wanted to spend on one, and I decided that this was the pin for me. I am so glad I did! This pin flows much more smoothly than my mother's ever did, it is beautiful, feels wonderful to use, and it really performs exactly the way I was hoping it would. I saw some feedback complaining about the size and weight- the product description indicates both, and for me, I love the weight and size of this rolling pin. I'm not a giant either, I'm barely 5 feet tall, and while I might be a little stronger for my height than average (thanks, heavy toddler!), I am certainly not super buff. My mom's rolling pin was much lighter, but I used to have to use much more energy to roll dough out. Between whatever sort of bearings are in the pin and the heft of it, rolling dough out is a breeze, even with gingerbread that's been cooling in the fridge for two hours. I've been using this rolling pin now since January, and my enthusiasm for it hasn't diminished. It even cleans up easily and beautifully, my only real concern about buying it. I love this rolling pin, and my only regret about it is that I didn't buy it sooner. Whoever bought my nonstick rolling pin from Goodwill after I donated it, I'm sorry! I. Love. This. Rolling. Pin.

A future family heirloom
A wonderful rolling pin. Oversized compared to many, and naturally weighty.

Highly Recommend
Best rolling pin out of several other different types that I have owned over the past 50 years. It's VERY heavy and glides smoothly over dough, requiring minimum effort to roll out even pierogi dough. Made the job easy, super fast and very enjoyable. There was no sticking to the rolling pin or the wooden cutting board with a good dusting of flour. This is a large, full size rolling pin and the wood looks to be an excellent quality. Beautiful looking, functional, made in the USA and priced much lower than other rolling pins made in the USA. purchased a few extras for gifts

Nice product
Very solid. Very heavy. Nice smooth wood. It was bought for a gift to someone and they really appreciated it. It was much bigger than I expected...which was a nice surprise.

Worth Every Penny!
My brand new J.K. Adams Maple Wooden Rolling pin arrived today and it's absolutely beautiful! It will definitely outlast my lifetime and will eventually become a family heirloom. The craftsmanship is unparalleled. It's definitely reminiscent of bygone days when craftsmen put love and pride in the wares they offer to the public. This rolling pin is in a Class by itself; nothing else out there compares to the quality and value. I definitely recommend this and all of the other products produced by J.K. Adams of Vermont, USA. You will be very happy with this and their other products.

Major upgrade from a flimsy rolling pin
This is heavy and substantial. For years, I've used the same rolling pin, the first I ever bought. It was cheap, lightweight not very effective. Boy, what an upgrade this one is! It takes less elbow grease since it provides more weight on its own. It's a nice long pin, so it rolls a wide swath. The handles feel very sturdy. The wood rolling surface is smooth, but not polished slick, if that makes sense. I.e., it's got just enough texture to hold some flour but not so much that the dough sticks. It's beautiful and I love that it's American made. I only wish I'd gotten a better rolling pin sooner. I also got one of the cylindrical, handle-less type from the same company and it is equally impressive--big, heavy, and nicely made.

THE WIFE LIKES IT... 'Nuff said...
I originally bought some generic, made in china, Martha Stuart, POS from the local store. My wife didn't like it... and if the wife isn't happy, I'm not getting any homemade pizzas... so after some online research I settled on this product. My wife LOVES it, and I'll tell why she says this is a great Item: - It fits well and very comfortably in her hands (she's 5'4" with proportionally sized hands... I'm 6'1" with proportionally sized hands... I agree that it's pretty comfortable the few times I've played with it and pretended to use it as a baseball bat) - It does not require a lot of pressure, the weight is good and ideal for most of her uses (pizza and tortillas mostly) - It cleans very easily, thanks in part to the high quality of the product itself - It has maintained a perfectly smooth and bump free roll for the last few months with regular (2-3 times per week) usage That's all I got folks. It's a good product recommended by a woman who uses it and a man who enjoys the fruits of her labor.

Giratorio
Buen material, no es pesado y muy práctico por ser giratorio, dos meses de uso (tres veces al mes) y no tiene ningún inconveniente.

Barrel is in poor condition, has splinters and is basically unusable as a rolling pin
Splinters of wood were sticking out of the barrel, the entire surface is rough if you tried to roll anything it will stick to the barrel. Don't buy.

great sturdy rolling pin
as soon as you take this out of the delivery box you can feel the weight of it and you think this feels good in my hands, the first time I rolled a large home made pizza dough, marvelous, I could put the pressure on the handles and it rolled smoothly. Definitely recommend this solidly made rolling pin for anything and everything you need to roll flat. Well, maybe not the front lawn.

Get this to use with rolling pin rings
Just what I was looking for: smooth rolling, hefty and well made. I needed to upgrade my old rolling pin as the barrel was too narrow for the silicone rolling pin rings I recently purchased (from Crate & Barrell)...this was the right size. Sure to get a lifetime of use and expected to stand up to it. (Only one minor annoyance, also noted by other reviewers: sticky residue left on the barrel after the sticker tag was removed - I pulled it off by pressing and re-pressing pieces of tape, but it would be better if the company used stickers that didn't leave residue.)
