Belkin Universal Cup Mount

Does the trick for iPhone 6 in my '16 Malibu. Adjusts easily and perfectly into cup holders. Keeps phone clear of gear shifter. Easy to put phone in and take it out. Charger cable slot is nice. Great minimalist mount. UPDATE! Under 2 months in, it broke. I took it out of the cup holder, and when I went to tighten it back in, I heard a "crack!" and the base wouldn't expand properly anymore. Hoping to get a replacement and try again because I really like this thing.

I don't like it when Amazon has two, totally different products under the same listing. Many of these reviews are for the Vent Mount, not the Cup Holder mount, yet Amazon doesn't distinguish so the review stats are confusing. This review is for the Cup Holder mount only. I am very impressed with the build quality (typical Belkin) and the design. It really is perfect for me. It seems like it should fit just about any cup holder and it should hold just about any mobile phone. The base expands to tightly fit your cup holder and in mine, it is so tight that there is no way it will move. I have a 3-series BMW and the cup holders on that car are up high in the dashboard so this is actually a perfect mount for my phone where I can easily see it. Most cars have their cup holders down low in the center console, making it difficult to see your screen without taking your eyes off the road. For that instance, I can appreciate someone not wanting this option. But, if your cup holder is in a good location for you, I think you won't be disappointed with this product. It has a spring-loaded grip for your phone and it is actually a bit of a strong spring, requiring you to use two hands, one to hold it open while the other places the phone. I suspect that spring may lighten up a little over time and that would still be ok because it definitely grips snugly. The phone clamp is mounted to a ball joint, allowing you to adjust the viewing angle or rotate from portrait to landscape easily. The joint seems to have just the right tension so the phone stays put. I really can't say anything bad about the product for my needs, perhaps other than the price is a bit on the high side, but Belkin's stuff isn't cheap.

I really looked forward to getting this product. It sat in my cart for a long time and I finally pulled the trigger and ordered two. The first one came in and it worked great. The second one I purchased came with a defective cushion that holds the phone. I should've just dealt with it because I wouldn't have been disappointed at the replacement two. The replacements don't hold and the first of the two replacements actually completely came apart right out of the box (as seen in another reviewers picture). I expected decent quality, not perfect, from Belkin....this item is far from it with a 1:4 success rating (I'm going to gamble and keep the one, but I'm done trying to pick a second out of the lottery) - and I'm not holding my breath on the one that actually works. Great concept and appears stout, but the quality control and design is actually weak in terms of being robust and looks are certainly deceiving. If I were Amazon, I wouldn't bother selling these - shipping and all other cost implications from these being returned can't possibly yield a profit.

For 40 bucks, I was impressed with the solid construction and feel of this product. The extendable/retractable feet at the base move with solid mechanical function and feedback; the radial adjustment disk is very precise and ensures proper alignment in the cup holder. The touch and feel of this product is of high quality. The device is also secure - the mount securely "grabs" your cup holder, creating a rigid and stable platform for your device. The expandable "jaws" hold / grip the phone snugly -- but not too tight in that it creates an issue (for removal and replacement or overall impact to the phone). Its also ergonomic - this is probably the most important feature for me. While driving, I can turn on my maps-app and easily see the phone without having to hold it. Before I would let the phone slide around in the passenger seat - now that its properly placed, the difference is night and day. It goes without saying, it has made my drive safer - allowing me to keep my eyes on the road. I highly recommend this product.

Belkin Car Cup Holder Mount for Smartphones - Black I purchased the Belkin Car Cup Holder on December 16, 2016 and in the latter part of April 2017 the device failed to operate any longer! The Cup Holder's Ribbed Twist Top stopped rotating out the device side-panels (which secure the device to the inside of your vehicles cup holder) and instead began pushing up the stem-neck of the device? I have no idea how the ribbed-twisting portion came unattached from the base but I was unable to re-secure the twisting dial to it's base and unfortunately I now have a useless cup holding device! It's really sad because the overall design of this product is very good, but apparently the mechanics of the device are not! I'm really surprised by this because it's manufactured by Belkin and their products are usually well made, but unfortunately Belkin gets a low rating on this product due to the fact that it only lasts 5 months before failing and it fell out of warranty in January which is a very short warranty period in my opinion.

This review is specific to the Cup Holder Mount. It's very attractive and looks good in a higher end car. It's well made. It's a bit short, I had to raise it up to the top of my cup holder (there is an inch of air below it) but the expandable design grips great and it's very solid. It grips the phone well. Here are some caveats: -It's not easy to get the phone in with one hand, you really need both hands to pry the spring-loaded grips apart. Removing the phone with one hand is easy. -The base expands only at 3 points. If those 3 points don't line up well with your cup holder and you need to rotate it a little to get a good grip, your phone may be at an odd angle. Overall I'm very happy with this item. I spent an unusually long time looking at different cup holder mounts on Amazon. I even went out to the car with a measuring tape and my phone trying to figure out which mount was best for my tight space. This one is perfect, and based on it's very elegant and useful design, I think most people would be happy with it.

Like others, this phone holder was great. Better than any others I've tried. Until it broke in the heat of my truck. I was not happy. I thought it was a fluke and returned it and got another. It too unfortunately broke. I tried to glue it and that worked for a day. I searched for another better holder but all of them were worse. I finally found a repair that has made my broken one work! The flaw is that the plastic at the bottom is too weak. And the screw at the bottom is too short. So I bought a large fender washer and a M4 .7 T-Nut. I flattened the sides and added them to the bottom so that the strength came from the bottom and not some flimsy internal plastic piece. So spend the $2 at Home Depot and fix yours. Even if it's not broken, add them now so you don't feel my pain. Shame on Belkin for not fixing this problem. The rest of the holder is too good to throw away for how much you paid for it.

Update: after 2 1/2 years of extensive daily use, the arm is beginning to lose its ability to hold the phone up in any position. For the price, I would be this unit again. It was attractive when installed and easy to switch between cars. I will seriously consider ordering this same phone holder. Previous review: This is exactly what I needed to secure my phone during my hour plus commute twice a day. Previously, I used the flimsy vent clips to hold my phone up but those aren't secure and fall periodically. Don't waste your money on those. Living in a major city, I rely heavily on various traffic and navigation apps so being able to see my phone is perfect. If your cup holder is far away from the driver seat (maybe a full size truck), this may not bring it up high enough for you to be able to see it clearly. There are alternatives with longer and more flexible arms that would be beneficial in those situations. I drive a midsize luxury sedan so I wanted something that looked compact and relatively elegant. It's also super easy to remove this phone holder. It expands to fit securely by twisting it. I highly recommend this device. A friend is ordering the same holder after seeing it in my car.

Supporto per cellulare da inserire nel portabicchieri auto. Si adatta perfettamente in quasi tutte le macchine dotate di alloggiamento per bicchiere e specie nelle Fiat 500L, non dà alcuna interferenza con il cambio. Il prodotto è molto valido e anche se il suo costo supera altri tipi di supporto per smartphone, ritengo che è costruito ed assemblato con ottimi materiali e come si vede dalle foto allegate, giunge in una bella confezione. Le guide scorrevoli sono in acciaio e non in plastica come per altri prodotti e ritengo pertanto che durino nel tempo. Le ganasce internamente sono rivestite di ottima gomma resistente in modo da tenere fermo il cellulare, senza danneggiarlo. Ho scelto questo tipo di supporto in quanto non sono di mio gradimento quelli per alette aria, primo perché bisogna tenerle chiuse per evitare il surriscaldamento del cellulare d'inverno e poi li ritengo antiestetici perché espongono molto alla vista il telefono. Il pacco è arrivato ben imballato da Amazon (perfetta azienda) e prima del previsto. Pertanto, in base al mio gradimento sull'acquisto, mi sento di consigliarlo senza alcun indugio, perché ritento Belkin una ditta molto affidabile.

Se acopla muy bien al portavasos y en principio la calidad parece buena y sujeta bien el teléfono así que es un buen producto para mi gusto

Stabil, flexibel und absolut zuverlässig – perfekte Handyhalterung für den Alltag! Ich habe schon einige Handyhalterungen ausprobiert, aber die Belkin Kfz‑Becherhalterung ist bisher die beste Lösung für mein Auto. Sie sitzt bombenfest im Getränkehalter und wackelt selbst auf holprigen Straßen nicht. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass sich die Halterung 360° drehen und zusätzlich um 90° schwenken lässt – ideal, wenn man zwischen Navigation im Hochformat und Mediensteuerung im Querformat wechseln möchte. Der verstellbare Sockel passt sich perfekt an verschiedene Becherhalter an, und die Kabelführung ist ein kleines, aber sehr durchdachtes Detail: Endlich kein Kabelsalat mehr! Mein Smartphone (iPhone 14 Pro) sitzt sicher, aber nicht zu fest – auch größere Geräte passen problemlos hinein. Fazit: Eine hochwertige, stabile und sehr flexible Halterung, die genau das tut, was sie soll. Für alle, die eine zuverlässige Lösung ohne Saugnapf oder Lüftungsgitter suchen, ist diese Becherhalterung von Belkin eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
