Easier to install due to external attachment over others....
I have found many times in past that the internal dusk/dawn eye's have been less than ideal for installation into a weather tight junction box and fit far better with less stress on their body in cover plates. Hence this item. It was simple to remove the screw in port cover and install this while I was replacing the failed LED yard light. Clear easy to understand instructions on installation, wiring, setup. After install and closing up junction box - test confirms it works exactly as I need it to. Price, Ease of install, clear instructions for setup and wiring.... Two Thumbs Up - Highly Recommend Buy This One!!!

It works well but,
I'm basing this review on the purchase prior to this one. The last one I bought lasted a little over a year and here I go replacing it again. I guess that's why they're so cheap. I'm griping because I have to climb a pretty high ladder to replace it.

I purchased this for my dad to turn on/off a custom made LED set of numbers and letters which make up the street name and house number that my sister got him for his birthday and coming up on three months since his bday (knock on wood) the sensor has worked flawlessly. Having installed similar items when I was an electrician it looks like a decent build and I expect it will work for many years to come. If your looking for a dusk to dawn sensor this is a safe purchase, or at least i feel like it’s a safe purchase and I don’t shop online often due to the uncertainty of it all. Sorry no pics but what you see is what you get.

Shipped quickly and packaged well. The wiring supplied would be adequate going directly into an electrical box. Since the box I was using was on the other side of a wall the leads had to be extended. Other than that the unit performs as advertised.
