Clean sliders that have no pits and ridges keep the brake pads centered better, and they wear more evenly. These are a must with the brake job unless you can clean up the old ones and they are in excellent shape. Mine had a ridge worn around them, and so they would have impeded the brakes from freely centering themselves. I got the right ones for my Subaru Outback, and they seem to be excellent quality.

Good replacement so far for OEM. Fit perfectly, though used a different head than Motorcraft. Not a big deal, just make sure you have either a wide variety of heads for your ratchet, or time to go to the store and get what you need before starting the install.

I usually do my own brake pads. However this time I had the mechanic change the pads and rotors. After about 2 days I started hearing squeaking from the rear brake. After inspecting the issue myself, I notice that 1 of the Caliper Slide Pins (Bolts) was the wrong size and type. The mechanic lost the original bolt and just replaced it with the incorrect small size you see in my photo. The incorrect bolt size caused squeaking every time I almost came to a complete stop. I’ve now since replaced with the correct sizes and all is smooth and quiet now.

Perfect fit and high quality OEM replacement for your caliper pins. Forget trying to clean up your old, worn pins, your time is worth more than $5-6 for these parts. For the love of god, save the hassle of stripping out the caliper removing the original pins by soaking them with a high quality penetrating oil at least 24 hours before you begin the teardown. If you won't wait, then you have at least a 50% shot of striping them out and you should order the helicoil kit at the same time.

Haven't used yet, but they are the right item for when and if I need them. The calipers I purchased came with the pins.
