Really excellent design and functionality ***WITH UPDATE***
This is the only unit I have found that can dispense hot or cold (not refrigerated) water with the cold being able to be left on for filling juice or water bottles. The quality of the build is top notch, the installation was a bit fiddly but no real problems. The water filter seemed to take a while before it removed chlorine taste, but works fine and is extremely easy to change. It does not take much space under the sink, and was a simple replacement for the useless soap dispenser. The only downside was that it was difficult to find a perfect match for the kitchen faucet. I really like the design of this dispenser, but I was not able to find a perfect match for the design and finish. InSinkErator has a manufacturer's compatibility chart online, but as of 2017 almost all the design lines have changed. I ended up buying a M0EN from H0me Dep0t, it was close enough but not a perfect match. In the box was the fixture. I also bought the InSinkErator HWT-F1000S Stainless Steel Instant Hot Water Tank and Filtration System, with the the boiler, the filter, and the lines. I did need to buy a T - junction fitting that fit between the cold water outlet under the sink and the hose that runs up to the sink faucet, it allowed me to connect the water line that runs to this dispenser. This is the only thing that might require a trip to your local hardware store, take a photo or the current water line with you to make sure you buy the correct size. I put this in in about four hours in a tight space, it would take a lot less time the second time! There have been no leaks or problems. ********* UPDATE ******* We do use this dispenser frequently, multiple times per day. This dispenser lasted about 4.5 years, when the spring in the dispenser lever began to weaken. Six months later, it would not reliably return to the center position (Off), so the dispenser would drip steadily, sometimes hot water. This is not a user replaceable part, replacement of the entire unit is the only option. We tried to live with the leaks / drips, and remember to manually return it to center, but forget even once and it drips hot water all night.

Love this faucet!
We added a reverse osmosis filter and instant hot water to our kitchen sink and needed a separate faucet for that water, which also goes with our main faucet. This faucet looks great in our kitchen and we can choose cold water or instant hot water with our set up. We have been using this faucet daily for about 2 months and are very happy with it.

If your budget can take it, get this.
So of course after 12 years our old unit bit the dust and we replaced the whole insinkerator tank and faucet. In short, get this one. Yes, its expensive but if you amortize it over 12 years... What makes it better: At least 50% higher flow. The outlet is 3" ? higher than the original which helps with filling containers/pots The top part can swivel. The original was fixed in place. The lever when set to cold stays open making filling our Keurig very fast. The lever direction for lava hot is spring loaded so it shuts off when you let go. I am not a fan of the E plate retainer for mounting that is pretty common these days. The old nut style was easier. We got the filter too. This was interesting as 12 years ago we did not opt for this but instead got a 3M Easy Complete filter. This time we got the insinkerator version... which was identical to the 3M!!! Cartridge compatible. The cost made me cringe a bit, but the install (replacement) took less than an hour to replace tank, faucet, and filter. And I am not a plumber but I do have wrench skills.

It screams quality
We bought and installed this along with a "InSinkErator HWT-F1000S, One Size, Silver" under cabinet water heater/filter and a Delta Essa faucet. First off, they look terrific together. Secondly, this little faucet cost as much as a touch-controlled, voice activated faucet. Kinda crazy. But, of all the items, this is by far the highest quality. The finish is superb, and the tolerances are super tight. There is nothing wobbly about this. It is all smooth, all the time. From the swing nozzle to the handle, it just feels good. In addition, installation was the easiest of all the components. It wasn't clear to me how it operated, so I'll explain: * To operator, you must depress the lever. This is for either cold or hot water. * You pull the handle forward for cold water. In this direction, it will stay on and not spring back * You push the handle backward for hot water. In this direction, you must continue to push because it will spring back and off. I fully support and appreciate this hot-water operation. The "HWT-F1000S" puts out scalding hot water. Honestly, it is steaming. I think safety dictates that this be as close to child proof as possible, and this is a good solution. I do wish you didn't have to depress the lever for cold water. I reckon that having a default locked mode isn't terrible, but I think it could be more convenient. Do I think this could be sold for $200 less and they'd still make money? Yes. Do I think I will remove it and take it when I move? Also yes. Do I regret the purchase. No. 0% It is excellent.

Beautiful and perfect!
We love this faucet that dispenses water from our instant hot water dispenser. We purchased it as part of our kitchen update and have used it for 6 months now. While itโs not an exact color match to our Delta Trinsic Pro faucet in Arctic Steel, the style and color are rather darn close. And, it dispenses hot and cold filtered water, depending on which direction you pull the knob. Originally, we were going for just instant hot water, but thought having access to both hot and cold on the same tap made it easier to get the exact temperature of water for different needs without bouncing back to the kitchen faucet. For example, I want nearly boiling hot water for tea/coffee, but prefer a mix of hot and regular for my morning warm water therapy first thing. Lastly, I love that it rotates so I can place the spigot exactly where I need itโabove the kitchen dishes for washing, above a cup, or to the side to fill a 46oz tea pot so I donโt have to hold it while filling. This dispenser is wonderful! Well worth the price of the part and the professional installation. Would highly recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for.
Looks good and works well. Here is a bit about how it works: The copper pipe is for the cold pressurized water coming in. Pushing the handle down and toward you dispenses this water. Pushing the handle down and away directs the cold water into the Instahot so the iIstahot water is pushed out of the Instahot and out the dispenser. When you install it, make sure there is at least enough space for the handle to go back and not hit the wall. You'll need a 1 3/8" hole to install it. I used: Milwaukee 49-56-0072 1-3/8-Inch Ice Hardened Hole Saw You can connect the copper inlet to John Guest White 20 ft/roll 1/4" Polyethylene Tube Tubing Drinking Water RO Reverse Osmosis DI Aquarium Pipe LLDPE with John Guest Union Connector 1/4" Tube OD x 1/4" Tube OD (PP0408W) I recommend connecting it/the instaHot to Alkaline RO water (alkaline filter raises the Ph level so the water doesn't pick up the taste of metal while sitting in the instaHot) . These are good RO systems: *this can make 90 gallons per day APEC Top Tier Supreme Certified Alkaline Mineral pH+ High Flow 90 GPD 6-Stage Ultra Safe Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System (ULTIMATE RO-PH90) *this can make 75 gallons of water per day APEC Top Tier Alkaline Mineral pH+ 75 GPD 6-Stage Ultra Safe Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System (ESSENCE ROES-PH75)

go with some other brand. any other brand
i hate that you can only use their expensive faucets with their hot water heaters. the hoses are very short. i already had an existing hole in my countertop, and i had only one spot that i could get as close the faucet as possible. the would it have killed them to add a little bit of extra tubing to their proprietary design? i'll never buy insinkerator again.

Functional, reliable and lasting
Have used same model in a previous home and decided to have the same installed because it works well and reliable together with the hot water tank, good product. yes, it is not the cheapest, but it would be one of your best decisions.
