Finger Saver and Range Time Booster
Finger Saver and Range Time Booster This little Hilljak Quickie Loader has been a surprisingly big upgrade for my Smith & Wesson M\&P 15-22. Anyone who has loaded the 25-round mags by hand knows how quickly your thumbs and fingertips start to ache—this loader solves that problem instantly. The design is simple: it snaps right over the factory mag with assist buttons and gives you leverage to push rounds down smoothly. Once you get the hang of the twisting motion to seat it, it becomes second nature. I especially appreciate how lightweight it is (basically featherweight polymer), so it just rides in my range bag without taking up space. Despite being 3D-printed plastic, it feels solid and has held up to repeated use without warping. The neon green color also makes it easy to spot among other gear. One thing to note—no instructions come in the package. The first time I had to fiddle with it a bit before figuring out the right angle to attach it. After that, it was easy and intuitive. I could see first-time users being a little puzzled, but once you learn the motion it’s a real time saver. I’ve used it on long shooting sessions where I pre-load six magazines the night before, and it cuts the effort in half while completely eliminating finger soreness. Friends with arthritis have told me it’s a game changer for them as well. Bottom line: For a small price, this loader saves time, spares your hands, and makes practice at the range more enjoyable. If you own an M\&P 15-22, it’s an essential accessory.

Works great!!!
This simple device is awesome. It snaps right on easily and makes loading mags a thousand percent easier. I’ve got essentially only a few fingers that still work and loading .22 mags was a struggle until I got this. I can load 25 rounds in about two minutes with ZERO fingertip pain from the buttons with this loader assist. I recommend this to everyone who’s got a 15-22 and can attest that it’s not hard to snap on and snap off at all. December 2024, this product is legit.

The Right Choice
Unlike many Polymer products this works both ways front or back no slip with its grip so they are ambidextrous and dummy proof. My Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 is all custom and Bump Fire with both Mossy Oaks and Gunskins Camo coverings. I mention this because as you probably know, products like this are made to operate within the manufacturers tight tolerances. Mine is a little tight but operates smoothly and still does as advertised. If your like me you read reviews and try to look at details in photos till it is all a blur. I have arthritis in my hands and eyesight issues so getting it right is job one. There are so many of these and all seem to be the same price which only serves to make things that much more confusing. The red gives good contrast even with the orange loading aids and is easy to see. With the restrictions of strength and pain I have, proves how good this product is.

How to use
I understand why people think it is difficult to use, it comes with no instructions, and looks very simple. Reality is you must start with the part perpendicular with the magazine to figure out how the notches fit over the assisting balls on the magazine. Then it’s a simple as twisting it Back parallel with the magazine and inserting the notches on the part over the top of the magazine, and push it into the grooves on the magazine and twist the part back perpendicular with the magazine, and then you just use the part as leverage against the assist knobs to make it easier to push down. I know that may sound complicated but with a magazine and the part you’ll quickly figure it out. It should come with instructions, but once figured out, it is easy to use and very helpful.

Good enough, but not quite stellar.
These are a bit difficult to fit on the magazine in the first place. Once fitted, reloading is certainly easier, but the initial effort required doesn't seem like resounding success story just yet. I'd like to think that the idea of this kind of product is to make it easier for those who struggle with reloading the magazine that the product serves. So far, it just re-directs the struggle to fitting the reloader over the magazine. Maybe after more use it will 'relax' a bit and be easier to fit, but for now, it is as difficult to "get on" as the little key ring that seems to come with these parts (though of all of the ones I bought, this one didn't have one with it).
