Prestone AS257 Bug Wash Windshield Washer Fluid - 1 Gallon

I have had this Prestone Bug Wash in my washer fluid reservoir for a few days now and I really like it. I recently moved to the coast of southern Georgia, where there are a lot of bugs. I was used to a lot of bugs having lived in rural Pennsylvania and Maryland, but some of the bugs down here are...messier...for whatever reason. I also park under trees at the house and the office, and with the higher consistent temperatures, sap has become a real issue. I have noticed already that this bug wash does a great job of getting the sap off the windshield where the typical blue stuff I had been using tended to smear or do nothing to the windshield. This bug wash gets it all off as far as I can tell. I am ordering another bottle for my wife's minivan! Note: I was completely out of washer fluid when I put this in, so I am using it full strength right out of the bottle. I cannot speak to its effectiveness if it is mixed with other washer fluids or water. Update 11.11.13 I have used an entire reservoir on my car since I bought the first bottle, and I am buying more to replace it. It continues to work well in getting off the sap and the bugs. There are some drops of sap from a large pine tree in our yard that take a few tries to get off because they are so thick, but this Prestone Bug Wash does the trick. I did add it to my wife's minivan after my initial review, topping off her tank, which had about a 1/4 of a reservoir left of the "blue" stuff. It works well on the van, even diluted with normal washer fluid. I still highly recommend this washer fluid if you are dealing with tree sap. It works on bugs too, but I've noticed it more on the sap.

This is probably the best washer fluid I've found so far. It's great at removing road grime, and dries without streaking. I wind up needing to use less of this fluid than the other stuff I've tried, so I haven't had to refill as much. We don't have too many bugs in my area, so I can't comment on its bug removal abilities, but for general windshield cleaning it's great.

This stuff really works to remove bugs and other assorted nasty stuff from your windshield, HOWEVER you must let it sit for a while in order to penetrate the dirt. If you just put it in your washer tank and spray the windshield, the wipers will remove it before it has a chance to work. I have found that the best thing to do with a very dirty windshield is to put some in a spray bottle, spray all of the spots on the windshield, let it sit for about 30 seconds, and then turn on the wipers. Doing this will give a good result on even the toughest bugs and dirt.

I noticed no greatness with this windshield washer fluid. I didn't like it, actually. It wouldn't clean my windshield as well as whatever came with my truck, and doesn't compare to what I can buy from a local store.

was starting to run out of WWF (windshield washer fluid) we looking around at stores and noticed the prices are alot more than i thought. i remember buying it a lot cheaper and when i looked here it was great product , great price and fast amazon prime service

It is amazing you can get this delivered for free. The good news it is a very efficiently shaped bottle for packing so 3 bottles fit into a surprisingly small, but heavy, box. Does an excellent job cleaning. The minus is that this has a quite strong smell. Stings if it splashes near your eyes! Did check the MSDS and it doesn't seem dangerous though.

I thought I was getting 4 containers for the price. My bad for not looking carefully. Never thought one fill up of bug wash would cost so much. It does the job but is WAY overpriced.
