This review is for Schwalbe AV4 Tube Schrader (450 x 35A) - 16 x 1 1/8-1.35 Inches by Schwalbe. I have never had inner tubes with a metal threaded valve stem before. This idea is genius! there is a little ring that you screw down the threads of the valve stem that keeps the valve stem from pushing back inside the rim when you try to attach a pump to the inner tube! It makes filling your tires so much easier! why don't all inner tubes have stems like this? I'm never going back to the old rubber valve stems now that I have tried these ones!

My wife rides her Gekko trike and her StreetStrider daily. These have 16 and 20 inch tires that get heavy wear and need protection from goat thorns. For this size, Schwalbe tires are my first choice and with them, I buy Schwalbe tubes. They have never let us down. Are a little more expensive, but the performance is worth it. Strongly recommend.

Went on the Brompton nice and easy. Good value too.

Amount Purchased and Failed: 3 Use Case: 16” Brampton Wheel @ 100psi Problem: 1.) Higher than normal deflation rate 2.) Random rapid deflation 1.) The inner tube deflated faster than my standard Brompton inner tubes. The Brompton inner tube deflated 9-10psi a week while the Schwab deflated 16-20psi a week. 2.) The inner tube would occasionally rapidly deflate from 100psi to 30 psi. This always happened while asleep or at work so I never ascertained where it leaked from. Possible Causes: There are no small punctures that caused this issue (did the underwater test to look for bubbles). I believe that it is a faulty valve that caused both of these issues at pressures around 100 psi. Unsure of what in the valve failed. Recommendation: Review the valve for issues at pressures around 100 psi or update description of inner tube with recommended pressure range.

Great tube

This is the tube you want if you ride a Brompton Folding bike. Other 16" tubes I tried could not tolerate the100 lb pressure needed for the Brompton's tires.

This does NOT fit a Brompton 16 inch wheel. It fits 18 inch wheels and the valve stem is too wide for a Brompton rim. I wasted hours trying to make this fit after reading the other reviews, and there's unavoidable bulging at the valve stem when the tire is inflated because of the poor fit. Don't waste your time and money on this.
