Control panel didn't turn on
The problem I had is when you went to turn on the dryer the control panel screen just flashed once. I took the back off the dryer and located this part on the vent tube and installed new one that was a perfect fit. Put my dryer back together and I have never been happier to see it say welcome. If you have the problem I described them I highly recommend. It was easy to fix and worked perfectly.

It did what it was supposed to, replacement elements have an incorrect resistance.
Put a new element in which ohmed out to a lower resistance (11), than OEM (13). It worked for two loads on medium heat, but burned out in about 10 minutes on High heat. So I don't really think the problem is with the fuse. It just sucks that GE put a 25 amp fuse in here. I'm going to try a non-OEM 30 amp fuse next time.

Direct replacement part
Direct replacement for thermal fuse in a Fridgidaire Affinity Dryer. Worked perfect first time. Total pain to replace but that’s an engineering problem by Fridgidaire, the part worked perfect.

Worked for 10 min, then failed
Replaced the one in my Frigidaire FGX831FS1. Not an exact fit, but, 100% does the same job. I was only able to get 1 acre in instead of 2 but that’s ok. Dryer was spinning but with no heat. Old part failed continuity test, new one passed it. Dryer back up and running. Update 1 day later: product failed after 10 min of use.
