Excellent Kayak Straps.
APPLICATION: I got these to transport my 11.5' kayak across the United States, route 40 from Southern CA to Northern VA. I had to tighten these straps only twice during a week-long trip of driving at up to 70MPH in high winds and rain. PROS: Quality components, great design from the straps to the cams, and plenty of length to ensure utility. When combined with my Thule straps, kept my kayak snug and secure over 3500 miles. For local trips (100 miles or less) I will use these exclusively and will buy another set as a backup. The straps have not faded in sunlight and performed great in heavy rains and wind. Top notch. CONS: None for my application. OVERALL: Great straps that held snug and a permanent addition to my tie-down box in my Jeep. I will buy another set of these as a backup. Outstanding.

This straps work but have begun to fray.
These straps are long enough to accommodate either a kayak OR a canoe on top of your car. The buckles seem sturdy and the padded buckle protector keeps your car/boat from scratches. Compared to the Thule brand my gf uses, these straps seem thin -the webbing is way lighter and a looser weave. I don't think this really matters because the straps aren't undergoing that much tension. The biggest downside to a lighter strap is that after one season the tips are starting to fray. I will likely use an old knife heated over a flame to re-cauterize them. All in all, a good deal if you don't mind cauterizing the tips once in a while.

Strong, versatile and easy to use.
These are versatile for many uses, used to secure surfboard, sup boards, mattress to the roof of vehicle to transport. They are strong and easy to use. The length is very long for many uses and easy to strap down anything.

these won't go the distance
Bought these to replace my 15+ year-old DaKine straps, one of which was seizing at the cam-lock and I couldn't get it to loosen up and actuate anymore. I couldn't find DaKine any longer than 12', so I gave the Dorsal product a try. The Dorsal webbing seems to be about half the sturdiness weight that the DaKines straps were and are already fraying after only a month-and-a-half. Also the Dorsal cam-lock cinches are a bit flimsy, won't last. you get what you pay for, I knew that. But I hate participating in this throw-away economy, so I will be looking harder and spending more money on the next set, which is probably max 2 years out. I wonder if DaKine still makes their straps as heavy-duty as they used to? hope so...

Great straps for my SUP
I've been using these straps for around 7 months now, and I love them! They are very sturdy and durable, and the padding behind the metal piece offers a great layer of protection for my board. I use these to strap my 11 foot paddleboard to the roof rack of my small SUV, and they seem to do the job just fine! I opted to buy these before I bought an expensive paddleboard rack for my car, and I am so glad I did. For a fraction of the cost, these straps securely attach my board to my vehicle and are super easy to use. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a cost-effective alternative to transport their SUP, and I will definitely buy more of these if my set ever wears out!
