decent night vision for the price!
Ok so I coming from a combat military back round I will say that these night vision binoculars are pretty darn good for the price! Honestly I was very surprised by how well they actually do work. Now are these going to give you military grade night vision no they are not but do they work well and let you see clearly at night at a good distance yes they do very well at that. Some people that write reviews do not understand how night vision really works and make comments like well they work great when the moon is out but when it is cloudy and over cast they do not work as well and they cannot see as far well guess what people neither do the military grade ones!! Yes the military grade one will work better in adverse conditions but I have had time's in my military career that our night vision was usless. Night vision works with the subtle light that comes with the night sky the brighter the night is the brighter the night vision will be and the clear the picture will be for you. Now I am not going to go into any more then that but I am going to say this for $100 bucks you can;t beat these night vision bino's and with the 7 different levels of brightness you will have no problem seeing even on those darker nights. So far I have tested these out at over 100yrds at night and they work great and I can see everything I need to very clearly. Now when you zoom in the picture will not be as clear but I don't really need to zoom in I just need to see what is out there. I have not yet used the video or camera options yet as I use these more to just as a tool to search my property at night and see what is out there. Also as these are binoculars when you look at things about 30yrds and closer it makes everything right in your face just like a regular binocular will so keep that in mind when looking through them. All and all for the price you really can't beat these. I gave them an over all 5 star rating not because I think there the best night vision binoculars out there but because for the price you are paying you are getting a pretty decent set of night vision binocluars and they fell well made and only time will tell how well they hold up been using them every night and have been very happy with them. a couple of bonus things is one you can use these during the day as well which is nice and you can also get a tactical helmet mount for it as well and mount it to any tactical helmet that takes a mount which is nice as well. and I do plan on buying a few more sets of these at this price for sure!

My Honest Review
This is an honest, personal review of the Nightfox 110R. If you're debating whether or not to purchase this device, your intentions for using this device could shape your decision. This is a near-infrared sensing camera with digital CMOS night vision capabilities. It has 2x digital zoom, and 7 different IR illuminator brightness settings. This device weighs an approximate weight of about 1-1.5lbs. If you intend on using this device for animal spotting, bird watching, etc., It will perform best mounted on a tripod. This device has no image stabilization technology when your are just looking through it so minor movements shake the image quite a bit, however if mounted on a still point, it will work smoothly. However, if you intend to use this device for distance hunting (110+ yrd) or surveillance, I highly recommend using this device with the assistance of a higher power Infrared (IR) illuminator, an IR taclight, or an IR laser. In all honesty, the Nightfox 110R's IR illuminator works fantastically at around >100 yrd. However, when using it at a distance, the IR illuminators "beam" is not focused to a sharp enough point to see beyond 130 yrd. If you do not want to use this alongside an external illuminator, I recommend purchasing an entirely different device instead. If you intend to use this device for tactical reasons, like Airsoft for example, and plan on helmet mounting the 110R, here are a few things to keep in mind. Given that this device weighs ~1+ lbs, it will most likely weigh down your helmet so significantly to the point where the device (along with your helmet) is practically crushing your nose. And unless your helmet has a strong back strap, I highly recommend getting and using a counterweight to attach to the back of your helmet to balance this device. The field of view on this device is also something to consider, if you plan to use it (helmet mounted) to spot mid-long distances (50-100yrd), it will serve it's purpose very well. However, If you plan on using it for room clearing or CQB events, it will be difficult to deal with the manual focus, motion blur, and limited field of view. I've never actually measured the FOV but I'd estimate it to be around 20-35 degrees. Nightfox has actually developed a design that is intended for CQB entirely. And lastly, one downside of using a digital night vision device (DNVD) for Airsoft (or other tactical uses) is the very strong emission of Infrared light. For those who don't know, Infrared light is just out of the human's visual light spectrum, so the IR illuminator on this device appears to our eyes as a very dim red light, however to cameras that can see IR light see it as a light about as bright as a 500-900 lumin flashlight. This may not matter if you are the only player with night vision, however, someone else with night vision would see what looks like you wearing a very bright headlamp. At the end of the day, It's fantastic quality and works great depending on what you're using it for. It can work smoothly for Airsoft if you know how to work the system, and it's great for night-spotting. I hope this helps.

Great product for the price!
If you haven’t ever used digital night vision it takes getting used to and you have to know what you are looking at. The image quality is great. The zoom gets a little fuzzy but with the adjustment lens it can be worked out fairly well. I’ve had this for a couple years now and it still works like a charm. Very durable I must say bc my husband has been far from gentle with it. 4 AA batteries and you got a dang good night vision. I only wish it was rechargeable because it will go thru some batteries. But I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Great camera and works great with a great price.
This is my first time using a night vision scope and I thought it would be pretty good as said by the reviews. So I bought it and I was shocked at how well it works at night and ease of use and functionality of it I took it out the first time a few days ago and spotted a huge turkey and a deer next to it . The pic was from 150 yards out and I was shaking so excited. Here’s the picture. A product well worth it for beginners and amateur users it takes pictures and video with a SIM card not included.

Good at What it Does
If you've used true night vision before, these are surely going to disappoint you. But if you've never used night vision before, these are going to do what you expect. The binoculars themselves function well. I question the durability, they are definitely not build for heavy field application. They are made of plastic, and although the plastic seems thick, these are absolutely not surviving any drops. It does give you the night vision, however, it is more similar to a camera's night vision because it is a digital picture, you technically are looking through a camera lens. If you're looking for something with a tactical or field application, I would find a different set. However, for hunting or just to look around in low light, these are worth it.

This is an Amazing device
Had my doubts considering the cost, watched a few videos and decided to purchase the 110R. I am amazed at the image quality and distance I can achieve with this device. I have had a few NV devices over the years and for the money this is a winner. I can clearly see blades of grass at 25 yards. Field of view is limited but the clarity more than makes up for the FOV limitations. I can see where the rubber face shell is no really going to fit the main stream face, very odd shape and quite uncomfortable if you try to press your face into it. I found that I can keep the device three to four inches from my face and get perfect results. The ability to attache the device to a go pro mount is perfect and I will be using the tripod mount on a regular basis. Button lay out is intuitive and easy to manipulate in the dark. I found the illumination more than adequate but also purchased an external IR illuminator for distances that the built in illuminator will not achieve. Out to 200 yards the built in IR illuminator worked perfectly. I plan to buy another 110R as a birthday gift to my Dad. I was able to get two hours of general use with illuminator on the number 2 setting on one enloop AA charge.

PERFECT! EXCEPT FOR ONE GLARING FLAW!
I absolutely love these night vision binoculars ... (EXCEPT) ... for one thing. And unfortunately, it's a BIG thing! So let's get it over with and move on to the good stuff. Ready? Here goes ... the rubber eye shield that you hold up to your face is absolutely horrible! The ergonomics in shape and design of the eye shield is such that it prevents the user from actually doing what it was intended unless you have the face of an orangutan! You simply can't get the stiff rubber to mold comfortably to your facial contours without painfully crushing the unit to your face. Totally impractical. Now for the good stuff ... and there are many. Unlike the rigid eye shield, the entire binocular housing is not only inherently lightweight but is also covered with a soft-to-the-touch rubberized coating. Also, there are 6 buttons on the top of the housing that function to control several of the binocular's thoughtful features. They're a little hard to get used to but give it proper time in the field and they'll soon become second nature! As far as fulfilling their purpose, they perform excellently and definitely worth every penny I paid, even with the troublesome eye shield. In conclusion, I am hopeful I'll eventually find a workable and satisfying solution. Until then .....?

Does the job
There are really no negative maybe the zoom at 0 could be a bit closer. Now keep in mind it's 100$ so don't expect anything crazy but for a casual user it work grate. Batteries are not included.
