Satiny Finish, Great Coverage - A Few Pointers
I am the whitest white girl you ever did see. I get this in the lightest shade (ivory) and it's still not a true match / is slightly too dark with a bit of a pink undertone. Why do I keep using it? Because it's the best drugstore foundation I've found overall. Without any foundation on, I have an uneven complexion with redness in my cheeks, chin and the creases of my nostrils. I also have dry skin that can be a bit flaky. If you're in my boat, here's what I do to make this foundation work for me: 1) Wash my face with warm water (no soap), exfoliate gently with a wet washcloth, and rub in a small drop of plain olive oil while my face is still moist, then pat dry with a towel. (Olive oil won't clog your pores, is great for reducing visible inflammation naturally, and contains many antioxidants to fight aging like those 100-year old mediterranean people with perfect skin who use olive oil for everything.) 2) I apply a pea-to-dime sized amount of foundation to the back of my hand. Using a stippling brush (I use the Real Techniques one - cheap, works great, lasts forever without shedding fibers), I dab this onto my cheeks first, then chin, then blend in everywhere else. Some people complain this foundation doesn't spread well / dries too quickly / showcases dry patches, but using this method with olive oil on the skin beforehand, particularly for those of us with dry skin, I believe eliminates those problems. It spreads beautifully and smoothly with olive oil as a barrier to the skin - I wouldn't try putting this directly on my skin type because my skin is too dry. Your mileage may vary. The coverage is really pretty remarkable in my opinion. I require a medium coverage but prefer full-coverage and this is a great solution. It erases my redness and gives me a nice, even tone without maximizing pores or causing breakouts. Speaking of breakouts, it does okay with covering acne, but I'd recommend going over the pimple by putting a tiny dot of foundation on your clean fingertip and tapping it onto the pimple (after the main / full face application) just to ensure it's evenly covered. I sometimes have to reapply this product if I have a particularly long day, but it's the best looking foundation I've worn for a good price so I don't really mind. To me, it's not worth paying 3x as much to only apply once a day with a more premium brand. Before I had kids, I was a runway model for years so I've had every high-dollar foundation out there applied to my face and I STILL think people are nuts for spending so much on trendier foundations. This foundation, when properly applied, does 80% of the job for 30% of the price. That's a trade-off I can live with. The one thing I don't like about it (aside from the lightest shade not being light enough, which is the case with virtually all drugstore foundations) is that it does transfer onto clothing etc. if your face comes into contact with it. Naturally, I really like hugging my husband, but he's taller than me so a hug often results in a powdery "face smear" right around armpit level of his shirts - tooootally annoying. If he's wearing black it can look like he got in a fight with a bag of powdered sugar and lost. So, buyer beware - keep your face away from anything you don't want a ghostly face print on. Overall, this is a great product at an excellent price point and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Love it! You need to shake it.
I almost didn't get this because of some of the reviews saying it didn't spread well, it dried fast, it was too runny, etc. The answer to all of these issues seems to be shaking it first. I had those same issues but then I started shaking it to mix it up first. Once I started doing that I didn't have any issues. It goes on smooth, I have plenty of time to blend, I can build on it. It's not a full coverage but it's pretty dang close. If not blended or set well it does oxidize slightly but definitely doesn't turn my skin orange at all. This is by far the BEST foundation for this price point. I don't find it to be too matte at all (I mean it is MATTE, so I don't know what some reviewers were expecting...), it lasts a full day and I usually get a little oily shin in the afternoons and I don't with this at all. Looks natural and really smooths out my face and features. I've been using this for a while now and don't anticipate changing anytime soon. I've tried a lot of foundations over the years and for this price point, I feel it's the best. Of course, everyone's skin is different and their preferences are different (some like more of shimmer or satin look, this is matte so if that's not what you want, look for something else). I have since found just amazing reviews on multiple sites by people even comparing to foundations in the $50-$100 price point with no real noticeable difference. So if you are looking for a medium to full coverage matte foundation I encourage you to give it a try. I personally highly recommend it and don't know that I will switch unless they eliminate the product.

Great Coverage, but Dries Fast!
I decided to try the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation (101 Classic Ivory) and overall it really does everything it claims. The coverage is great, it feels lightweight, and it gives a smooth matte finish that lasts throughout the day. My only real complaint is that it dries very quickly, so you have to work fast when blending, even doing in small sections. If you apply it without prepping your skin, it can look a little cakey, but using a moisturizer or even a bit of sweet almond oil beforehand made a big difference and helped it go on much more smoothly. Once I figured that out, the finish looked much nicer and more natural. For the price, it’s a solid foundation and definitely worth trying, I give it 4 stars but I would give it a 4.5 if it were available...

Nice for evenings out
I preferred use this at night. It has a little more coverage looks a little nicer on my skin. It’s long lasting. It’s a decent size and it’s a great value for the money and a nicely matches my skin tone.

Good product
Finally a shade light enough...almost. I am very, very fair. Like, Casper white. This is the only foundation I've found that I don't need to mix with a pure white foundation or add a pure white powder over to make it light enough. It is still just the slightest bit darker than I am but blending it in to my neck just a little is really easy and not noticeable to anyone other than myself unless you are looking to specifically see if it matches or not. I've tried this both with and without a powder since I'm really oily and do like a true full coverage (this is a high medium coverage) and I find that a powder makes it too cakey since the matte finish of this is kind of powdery itself. I don't get too oily while wearing this by itself and when I do, I just dab a tiny bit of colorless finishing powder in those areas. It covers my large pores incredibly and really doesn't cake up that bad UNLESS you have dry skin patches, if you exfoliate first, it's fine. I don't use a primer either because I've found that primers don't blend well with this on my skin. This is water based so keep that in mind, but even non silicone based primers still don't work well on my skin with this foundation. However, contour and blush bend out really well over this. It lasts really long on it's own but at the end of the day, it does crease a bit in your fine lines and will separate where you're oily at, even with finishing powder. It isn't bad enough to be very noticeable at a distance. Overall, I'm very pleased with this foundation.

It's good but not for my skin
This is buildable but unfortunately very dry and flakey once it sets. Application is easy but I fear it doesn't match a combination skin type.

I get the hype. Great for my oily skin.
I got this foundation because it had rave reviews from makeup artists who chose it as one of their all time favorite drug store foundations and I definitely see why. My skin is quite oily, so this drier foundation really helps to control that issue I have of my face melting off in humid weather. It doesn't sink into lines on my face, but if you have a little face fuzz, it will cling to it like your mustache is it's mother. That is the only big downside, other than that, the only other bad thing I can think of to say is that it dries faster than I'd like it to while applying. That could just be because of how I apply it myself, but I found that using a damp beauty blender helps spread the product more efficiently without it drying before I can get it where it needs to be. The color was right on point, and doesn't have that strange pinky-orange tint that a lot of foundations I tend to buy usually have. It blended pretty seamlessly with my super pale/translucent type skin tone, and the coverage was great for my blemishes I tend to get around my jaw line and mouth/chin area It's a great, long lasting foundation, and the packaging is nice to look at on my cosmetic organizer. I will be buying again, even though it looks like I won't have to buy it too often, because one application lasts me 8+ hrs...I don't know about 12, but 8 is good in my book, anyway. I included a before/after picture (naked face with blemishes vs. Loreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation)

One of My All Time Favorite Foundations
For a drugstore foundation I am wowed by this product. I wear the L'oreal True Match Super Blendable line daily in C1 but love this pro matte version for special occasions. If you told me this was a high end brand without showing me the tube I'd believe you. It's so light weight and runny (in the good, blend-able way) you barely feel it sitting on you. Yet it covers my pores beautifully even better than true match and has this stunning makeupy yet natural finish. The only draw back to this line is the limited number of shades. I wear C1 in the true match line and 101 from this line is a drop too light for me yet 102's super dark. They did extend this line but the shade I need is never in stock so I couldn't try it. For this reason I can only wear 101 in the winter when my skin is fairest. Another issue is the packaging. For such a nice formula and expensive at that (double the price of the true match line) the flimsy tube packaging squirts out too much product and I'm scared it will burst if I travel with it. But despite the shade being a hint too light and so-so packaging, this stunning formula is enough of a reason for me to repurchase.

Its nice.
I have an oily t-zone and find it very difficult to find a decent foundation. If I was going out for a few hours and wasn't doing much then it's lovely. But work wise.. Nothing special. Stays on. Not patchy but my nose is just uncontrollable, one swipe and it will come off..but that's my skin 😂

Rose
