The ad says: "Helps Prevent Leakage". It, thankfully, does more than "[Helps] Prevent Leakage". It is preventing leakage. Was easy to install. A bit pricey, IMO, but what is the value of the price of a leak? Had to purchase for our type of installation. Should do well for many years. I rated overall as 4 stars due to the price, notwithstanding my previous comment.

Saniflo 030 Extension Pipe, Extension Pipe Between Toilet and Macerator, White
Ordered this part to plumb thru a wall and seperate the macerator from the bowl. I insulated the wall for sound deadening and now when I flush the unit, I can barely hear the macerator. Highly recommend this type of setup and the use of this quality product.
