Well written and informative book with a lot of very nice drawings and illustrations.

It was up to the same great quality as your other 35 I own.

This was a gift and he loved the information, his only remark was they were to short.

Osprey's third title in the Warrior series, this book combines twelve beautiful plates with both informative and absorbing reading.

GREAT starting point for the person seeking authentic re-enactment in a general direction of the period...the Bib is also outstanding

the book was miss labeled and wrong subject

The hersirs were apparently the Viking commanders, but this book is about the Vikings whether they were commanders or not. As in the other Osprey books, a prime reason for getting the book is the illustrations. If you want to know what the Viking might have looked like who killed the English king's reeve Beathuheard with an axe to the head in the late 8th centuries, check out these drawings. The Vikings were scary dudes.

Ce petit livre parvient à être assez complet, sans être exhaustif, sur le Viking guerrier. D'autres thèmes concernant la société viking en général sont également abordés. Le tout est agréablement illustré par des planches en couleurs et divers dessins et photos d'objets, d'armes, de casques, ... Un (très) bon niveau d'anglais est souhaitable si vous ne voulez pas devoir ouvrir le dictionnaire à chaque paragraphe, car la langue n'est pas vraiment simple, mais elle est malgré tout fluide.

a very good book about the chieftains of norse warriors and vikings. Contains many pictures and illustrations. And ou can find the strategy and psicology of the battle of the viking era.

Not much I can add to this. It’s up to the normal Osprey standard and I have many many of them. I always consider Osprey as a starting place for further research. And have been collecting them since the 70s. Won’t hear anything bad said about them.
