Great food journal!
Love this book! Me and my 3 children all use one to be aware of what we are eating especially while we are studying nutrition during our homeschool studies. My children are 8-14 years old and we are studying what foods are good for you and what foods are not, and why. We are also studying what carbs are used for in your body and what happens if you eat too many, how your body turns calories into energy, good sugars vs bad sugars, good carbs vs bad carbs, choosing a fruit over a handful of chips or goldfish as a snack, etc. I want my children to leave my house with knowledge of how to eat healthy, how to cook healthy, and how to pick out produce. (Things my mother didn't teach me) I have struggled with weight my entire life and I'm a "professional dieter". I've been under a nutritionist care for half of my adult life and my thyroid is whacky. I can easily gain 10 lbs a month if I don't journal. I'm not obese, but losing weight is a struggle for me so my goal is just to maintain and not gain any weight. If I lose weight, GREAT, but I don't focus on dieting for losing weight, per say, just for eating healthy and holding myself accountable. For all of these reasons mentioned above, that's why I believe journaling your food is important for everyday life. I'm happy I ordered these journals. Likes: It has room for 5 meals which my kids use because they eat 2 snacks a day in between meals. I only eat 3 meals a day. It has a notes section at the bottom where we can jot down our exercise for the day or comment about our food choices if we did great... or not so good. It has 8 little check boxes for your water consumption. It has where you can total up your day at the bottom AND total up each meal separately. So you can see where you are at a glance throughout the day without having to add up multiple items multiple times. It has 120 pages in the 5x7 book which is 60 days worth of journaling. 2 pages per day, printed on front and back. Dislikes: the carbs column comes before the fat column so it doesn't follow the nutrition label in order. This gets a little confusing for my children at times. It's not really a big deal for me but I have to double check that they aren't mixing up their columns when they journal. Each meal only has 5 lines so when we have something like salad bar or turkey tacos we have to add some of the stuff up and combine it so it will all fit, or use 2 meal sections and add them up together. I would like to see 3 meals with 7 or so lines and 2 meals with 2 lines instead of each meal having 5 lines. Who eats 5 things as a snack? Overall, if you're looking for a good food journal this book is what you need. *If you are watching your sodium or sugar intake it does not have a line for that to track it. I'm not diabetic nor do I have any cholesterol or high blood pressure issues so I don't watch those as closely as some may need to.

Amazing Book for Tracking Calories
Let's face it. Tracking calories in order to run at a caloric deficit is the single best thing you can do to lose weight. Above anything else that you can do, science doesn't lie, and if you take in less calories than you use, you will lose weight. With most people having smartphones these days, there are a lot of apps that you can choose from that will track calories. But, many of us can't have our phone at all times, and furthermore, it is still easier to quickly jot something down rather than enter information into an app. Enter the Book Factory Food Journal. This little notebook is an invaluable tool to accomplish your caloric goals. Not only does it come in two different sizes, but it gives you enough space per day to track up to five meals, with five lines per meal section. It has space to add up subtotals, it tracks the date and day of the week, it tracks your recommended water consumption, and at the end of the day it gives you space to add everything together, jot a couple notes, and to add your weight as well. The simple act of writing everything down even helps you to remember to use the book. Since I started using this book, I've been able to see just exactly how many calories I take in a day. That coffee with cream? You'd be surprised just how many calories that is. And with columns for total calories, carbs, fat and protein, this little book can also be used to help track macros if that is the route you're going. I love that if I need information from a previous day, it's just a few flips back to get to it, rather than scrolling through an app. I'm not worried about losing data inside of an app, I have everything with me in hard copy. I've been able to consistently reach my daily calorie goals by using this book, and I've been shocked at how many calories are in the things that I regularly eat. Its helped me to effectively make adjustments on a per day basis, so I can prevent going over my goals. Not only that, but the book itself is durable, with a plastic cover and spiral bound pages. I've traveled with the book everyday, and I've had no issues when it comes to the durability factor. Each book has enough pages to get through two months of daily logging, so I only need to order a book once every two months to continue on my calorie tracking journey. Let's take a quick look at some pros and cons: Pros: -Durable -Helps track macros if needed -Enough room for up to five meals, or 25 total lines -Tracks water consumption and weight -Comes in two sizes Cons: -A thicker book would last longer To conclude, this is an amazing tool for anyone who needs to track calories. Whether you are looking to lose weight, maintain, or even gain, this little book is both handy and effective. It's durable and easy to travel with. I would like to see it in different length versions, so maybe I could get four months instead of two, but that doesn't matter too much to me, I think $7 or $10 is a fair price for one of these and I have no problem buying additional ones as needed. I rate this at 5/5 stars and would recommend it to anyone starting or maintaining a program that involves tracking calories.

Simple and portable. Very good.
This has really helped me. It has the basics and it's more structured than just using a notebook. It's small enough to carry in my pocket which I liked. I had problems with accidentally leaving a previously larger food journal and it was hard to stay on track. It also has a big enough metal spiral to hold a pencil and protective plastic covers so that it can take regular wear and tear. The book has water check boxes, places to put calories and daily weight, and five meal boxes to write stuff. My only (very small) gripe is that I would have liked six meal boxes instead of five. But I will be buying another one when i fill up the sixty-ish days there and it's helped me drop ten pounds so far in about three weeks. I recommend this product.

It's the A4 format nutrition journey notebook. You can note down the daily macro intake, with exercise, water intake or any comment. So many pages you can use.

agenda forse un po' troppo minimal: c'è giusto lo spazio per scrivere il menù giornaliero, ma senza la curva del peso, le misure e le altre informazioni che in genere si riportano nel diario alimentare.

I think this book is brilliant. My son is type 1 diabetic and I've bought this same book multiple times to record his food, glucose levels and insulin dosage. I also make use of the front pages by writing out the carbs on snacks and his most eaten foods, so having everything about meals in one book is a huge bonus. It's a well laid out food journal. UPDATE: Despite giving this book a really good review it has now jumped up to £17.99 (£6) increase from previous price and if I click buy again the price is listed as £31.99 with delivery being one month. Absolutely no need for such an increase in price. Will not buy again untill the price has become reasonable again.

Very quick delivery and excited to start using it, 5 daily meals with enough space to be recorded, different nutrition values as well, pages for common meals as well and different sections for exercise, medication, goals as well. Water intake, sleep hours and weight as well. Very happy with purchase.
