Great glasses at am amazing price, buy with confidence if you buy directly from Amazon as the seller (not just fulfiller)
This review is for the RB2132 Matte Black Polarized New Wayfarer purchased *DIRECTLY* from Amazon LLC. I make no guarantees about the authenticity of glasses purchased from other retailers, even if they are fulfilled by Amazon (not Amazon as the seller). I have been looking for a better deal on these Ray Ban New Wayfarer 2132 Polarized for some time but they never go on sale. My husband bought me the Havana/Tortoise Matte model for full price at Sunglass Hut and while they are great, I did not want to pay full price again but also wanted the Black with gradient blue/grey lenses for additional variety. I was thrilled to see Amazon had this model for just a bit over $100, a huge discount over Sunglass Hut and even cheaper than the non-polarized model. I had read enough reviews here to be slightly concerned that some glasses received by customers were fake, but they did not state whether Amazon was the direct seller or not. We have had some good luck on frequently faked items (perfume/cologne) that were purchased directly from Amazon as the seller (not only fulfilled by), so I decided to take a chance on these glasses. I ordered them on Friday and got them today, and filmed the opening of the box just in case, and I was thrilled to see these were indeed AUTHENTIC RAY BAN. Between my husband and I we have enough real pairs of Ray Ban purchased from SGH to know all the signs of real vs. fake: 1. The lenses are in fact polarized. Just turn your glasses 45 to 90 degrees against your computer monitor, if it goes black and blocks light the lenses are indeed polarized. 2. There is a laser etched "RB" on the left lens. 3. The hinges, texture, weight, and frame were identical to the Havana/tortoise matte pair I already own. 4. The case, button, all silkscreened text, UPC label etc. were all identical to my other Ray Bans and authentic. I really like these New Wayfarers because the fit and slope suit my face much better and they're overall lighter and more comfortable to wear. The lenses actually look much darker than they do in the picture, almost a full black/smoke color rather than a blue gradient. I really prefer the matte frame as it doesn't look like the cheap glossy plastic that is frequently imitated now, and it hides fingerprints much better also. It also won't scratch up as easy. Overall, great buy, don't hesitate to buy from Amazon!

Authentic polarized glasses.
Authentic. Polarized. Ray Ban P. My order came in a brown leather case; some say they get black, and apparently the color of the case is random. You either black or brown only. It also came with a cleaning cloth and a little RayBans info inside. Also, the glasses have good quality, both the frames and lenses are sturdy and do not feel cheap at all. As a Ray Ban glasses fan, I will say that this is legit, original, and authentic. I truly like using polarized glasses. Just a heads up though for first-timers in wearing polarized glasses, some phone screens actually appear different when you have these glasses on. It adds a glare and somehow a rainbow-ish film layer to your phone screen. YOUR SCREEN IS STILL VISIBLE, but may take a little getting used to. Also, there are actually other phones - simply because of how the screen LED, et al, was set up - that appear better when you hold the phone sideways (landscape) than portrait. For example: My iPhone 5S get the weird and very evident glare when I look at the phone in portrait/vertical position, and will look better (but still a little glarey) when I view it horizontally. Same effect on an LG G3. On the other hand, my iPhone 6S actually is a little easier to look at, still with the glare effect though. The effect of polarized lenses on phone screens is a little difficult to explain through words until you actually wear the glasses and experience it yourself, but as I mentioned, there is nothing to worry because it'll get easier after a few minutes of getting used to. Besides, polarized glasses have real eye benefits so I do recommend getting these if you really love the look of the lens and frame. I hope this review has been helpful. Thanks for reading.

Ray-Ban Quality, Exactly What I Wanted
After being wary of this product given some of the reviews that have been posted, I went ahead and ordered these sunglasses while keeping Amazon's return policy in mind. And man did I not have to worry at all. True to form, these Wayfarers fit very snugly on my face and are incredibly comfortable to wear (I purchased the 55mm size). After checking online, they passed every test there was to determine whether or not they're real, so I know that what I have is the real deal. The polarization is also there, and it works wonderfully. Unlike a pair of Ray-Ban Aviators that I own, the polarization doesn't cause severe distortion or whatever on the screen of my phone, so I can comfortably read the screen without having to remove the sunglasses every time I check something on the LCD display. The sheer look of the Wayfarers are exactly what I was expecting: the frame and arms are jet-black, while the lenses are a greenish tint. Take note that even though the picture on Amazon makes the lenses look barely tinted, when you get the sunglasses they're actually much darker, closer to a black-green tint than a straight-up green. It's not a problem, since they cut the sunlight by a good amount, but it's a slight difference in what you see compared to what you get. The construction of these Wayfarers is also as high quality as you would expect; they never feel flimsy or on the verge of breaking, but at the same time they rest light on the nose and don't leave marks even with prolonged usage. If you're looking for a good, sturdy, long-lasting sunglasses with that classic style, then these are definitely for you.

Great Sunglasses!
This is my second set of Ray Bans. I purchased the first about 1985 and wore them for years, having to give them up as my eyes hit middle age. I missed wearing GOOD sunglasses, the prescription alternative just dosen't cut it. Until recently contacs had for a while allowed me to wear the Aviators, but the regular contacts, or the mono vision contacts just didn't work. I tried the multifocal and they work wonderfully. I brought my Aviators out of retirement, but decided to update. After going over all the Ray Ban site, I settled on the New Wayfarer. They did not disappoint. Fit great right out of the box. Looking forward to years of use from them. (PS I'm keeping the old Avaitor glasses for working ourside).

Great price, good product
Small amount of damage on the bottom of the left lens. Not enough to make me return them but just enough to bug me because they don’t look like brand new. I got them for a great price so it’s only a minor complaint, but I would have returned them or asked for a different pair if I was at a sunglasses retail store.

Durable and Stylish New Wayfarers: A Reliable Choice for Active and Casual Use
TL;DR: Prefer new Wayfarers for fit, durable for active use, reasonable lens replacement cost, effective lens gradient. Reviewing sunglasses is subjective, but I've been particularly pleased with the fit of the new Wayfarer style, which is slightly smaller than the original and suits my face better. I use them for both casual wear and during outdoor activities like running and coaching. This is my second pair; my first pair, which I've had for two years, is still in good shape despite cracked lenses (due to my own mishap). I appreciated the first pair enough to buy a backup while looking into lens repair options. The polarized replacement lenses from Luxottica are quite affordable at around $59, shipped. The crystal/glass lenses with a blue to brown fade are practical for driving, providing darker coverage at the top and lighter at the bottom for easy dashboard viewing. These sunglasses have endured rough handling, including being tossed in a backpack, dropped, and even stepped on, yet they still retain their shape and fit. The tortoise frame has a nice matte finish, and the hinges have remained firm, albeit slightly looser, over time. The glass lenses offer clear visibility and excellent polarization, showing minimal scratches even after extensive use. Overall, I'm satisfied with my initial purchase and reassured by having a backup. Their popularity also gives me confidence in the availability of replacement lenses in the future.

Stylish Sunglasses for Mature Men. Polarized Lenses are DEFINITELY worth it.
My first pair of polarized Wayfarer's came with a crack in the frame, I called up Amazon Customer Service and the representative said that there was an investigation going on about this issue and that they would call me back in a week or so. UPDATE: I received a call from Amazon Customer Service a week later about exchanging my pair of sunglasses, they were nice enough to expedite my order to overnight shipping for the inconvenience so that was a plus. As for the product itself: In the box comes a nice leather Ray-Ban carrying case, a microfiber cloth, and the actual sunglasses. I ordered the 55mm because I think I have a fairly average-sized body for a male (5' 10", 170lbs) so I figure many of you will have similar body shapes/sizes. I think most males should go for the 55mm but if you have a smaller body type then you should go for the 52mm. Just know that when you wear your glasses they shouldn't be tight around the sides of your face, they should slip on and off pretty easily and shouldn't fall off by themselves when you look down. To Polarize or Not To Polarize: For those of you who don't know what the difference is, polarized lenses contain an additional filter that block off certain aspects of reflected light, thus reducing glare. I've worn non-polarized sunglasses for a long time and really did consider the non-polarized pair of these glasses but after consulting with an optometrist friend he recommended I go for the polarized pair. I took his advice and bought the polarized pair and wow what a difference. The polarized lenses are what you are really paying for. Buying a pair of non-polarized lenses is basically paying for the brand. The amount of light blocked with a non-polarized lens is almost equivalent to the cheap free sunglasses you receive from marketers. I'd HIGHLY recommend the polarized pair, you're not only getting the Ray-Ban brand but also a pair of lenses that are functional. It is worth paying the premium for the polarized lenses. Style: I like the classic Wayfarer look, it works well with casual-wear such as T-shirts, polos, V-necks and at the same time makes you look classy even in a fitted suit. The Wayfarer's bring about a sense of maturity and class. No offense against Oakley's but those are more geared towards sports-wear or motorcycle riders. If you're someone that's conscious about your clothes and tend to dress well then a pair of Wayfarer's are a must-have.

New Classic Cool
I was looking for a pair of sunglasses that had some more style than the Oakleys I've been wearing for years. I stumbled across the New Wayfarers on a blog and did some research on their fit. These sunglasses are an updated version of the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers that celebrities have been wearing for decades. The lenses are not set at the same extreme angle the Wayfarers are, but they still have their own tilt and style. It provides a comfortable fit and doesn't move around when I turn my head. I would say that I have an average size head and the stems fit comfortably over my ears. To give you some reference, I purchased the 55mm black frames with black polarized lenses. The lenses are crystal clear and are clearly polarized as the LCD screen on my phone looks slightly distorted while viewing it with these glasses. There is a little bit of lens flare on the back-side of the lenses if the Sun hits the lenses from behind, but it's not really a problem. Overall, the build quality of the glasses is fantastic. The hinges are made of metal and swing freely, but still convey a strong, solid build quality. The glasses had all of the hallmarks of true Ray-Ban glasses such as the Ray-Ban print on the upper right lens, a RB etching on the left lens, the correct metal hinges, and the correct style printing on the inside of the stems. The glasses also came with a Ray-Ban case and cleaning cloth. You can easily pair these sunglasses with a casual t-shirt and shorts duo or add a bit of sophistication to your business dress or suit. The only complaint that I could possibly make is that the glasses are built so well, they're slightly heavy. They leave small, red indentations on the bridge of my nose if I wear them for a long time. However, this is first-world problem and quickly goes away with a little rubbing. These will definitely be my go-to sunglasses from now on.
