Allen Edmonds Men's Manistee Belt

Ordered the belt for a wedding I was attending to go with a pair of Allen Edmonds boots I had. When I received it, it was hanging on an Allen Edmond's hanger, with an Allen Edmonds tag on it. I pulled it out, and tried it on, but it was much too small, and when I put it through the belt loop the tag fell off, having been held on with double sided tape. I removed it and measured it, it was 34 inches, when I had ordered 38. It was then I noticed the faint words Cole Haan on the inside of the belt, and noticed the brogue pattern was not what was pictured. I had gotten a used returned belt. I contacted customer service, they refunded me and made sure I had would not be charged upon receiving the returned item, and I ordered the belt directly from Allen Edmonds to make sure I got the correct belt before the wedding. Having now received the correct belt, I can say it is perfect. It is not too flexible, just stiff enough to be easy to put on, stitching and craftmanship is great, and it fits perfect.

This belt is very well-built, and demonstrates the excellent, tried-and-trusted quality of Allen Edmonds. I love the brogue details and the two-tone leather. Though it looks absolutely smashing, I am still left in remorse about paying US$100 for a belt (and I even got a discount through an Amazon coupon). I wish something this stylish and high quality were available just a bit more affordably--I'd even feel better about paying $80 for a belt, as I recently did for a reversible brown/orange Cole Haan. In all, Allen Edmonds products are the best in the business, but I am only giving this 4 and not 5 stars because it is so freaking pricey. Finally, just a side note that some other reviewers have been right in suggesting that this belt runs a little on the smaller side. So if you are a 32, definitely order the belt in a 34, etc., as per the belt-sizing standard... Unless you are pretty skinny like me, ordering at your pant size is going to result in a slightly shrink-wrapped belt. Enjoy!
