Incredibly powerful small saw; blades are widely available
I could not believe how powerful this small saw is. It cut through 4 feet of a 3/4-inch-thick solid Cherry table-top with no problem. I didn't realize there were four steel screws that I could not see, and it cut through the screws as well. My experience with Makita tools is they are well made, and they have outdone themselves with this easy-to-transport little saw. I was also able to easily get an assortment of blades that were very inexpensive, probably because they are small (3-3/8" diameter).

Amazing cutting power for size
I have an older 9v mini saw that was my father's. Doing some light work repairing things on the house it was the perfect size for what I needed but the old blade was very bad off. This replacement is not only perfectly able to fit tglhe older model saw, it's teeth and overall design make cutting through plywood and softwood like butter. Great product!

Stand Alone Quality
I still have my Makita 12v mini-saw & was about to retire it because it began “chewing” through material. As a parting shot I decided to try an Original Makita Blade. Thank goodness I did! Nothing wrong with the saw - I have been purchasing “other” blades for it & once I placed the Makita Blade on my Makita Saw WOW!!! Astounding! What an incredible difference! The difference between a Putty Knife & a Razor Blade - No kidding folks
