Mitsubishi Pencil SXR20005 Ballpoint Pen Refill, Jetstream Prime 0.5, Multi-Color, Multi-Functional, 3 Colors

Very smooth ink flow, excellent writing ability!

This Jetstream hybrid ink has good color saturation and writes on just about any surface. It dries quickly and doesn't smudge easily. Sometimes it does skip but it's not often and still performs better than any other ink I've tried. I use blue and red in my Rotring 600 3-in-one that I carry and use daily and is the best ink I've found. My only complaint is the (infrequent) skipping.

I purchased this refill set to go in my big idea design mini bolt action. The insert works perfectly and fits well. Glad I went with this refill the .5 is the perfect size and writes really well. The ink is pretty good at not smudging.

These refills give a very fine and great-looking line -- when they actually work, but they generally don't. I should note that I live at over 6,000 feet (2,000 meters), so YMMV depending on where you live. The problem is that they skip a lot. I loaded the blue and red into my Skilcraft Aviator pen as an "upgrade" and was very disappointed. I was asked to fill out a simple greeting card. A free pen from a local mechanic worked well, but not my expensive refill. Not usable at all. If you live at altitude, skip these entirely. They are junk.

I ordered two of these because my Uniball multi color needed its first refills At $12 per pack. On arrival and packed nicely with other items (not flopping about). On close inspection ever refill was bent horribly at close to 90 degree angles. No way to bend em back completely straight without risking the stressing the metal refills to the cracking point then leaking. I just threw out my Uniball multi pen. Refills to expensive to risk buy more only to receive them in such condition. Thanks but no thanks. I’ll simply use my other 3 uni prime pens each with a different color refill for $2 each.
