This bed replaced an IKEA queen bed frame that squeaked nonstop. I have some experience putting furniture together and I did this completely alone in about an hour. The package is very heavy, 100 pounds. The delivery guy arrived and I saw him. He was nice enough to put it inside my entry. I carried the pieces upstairs a little bit at a time. (It arrives double boxed and the boxes are very large) Luckily there’s not a lot of materials. This bed is really pretty solid. Reading the directions it was fairly easy to figure out how it all went together. (I also watched one of the videos that was posted here). I suggest orienting the different pieces before starting. The ratchet they provide really made the work easy. If you don’t like wood with knots in it, the headboard may not be for you. I don’t mind the rustic look and this is a temporary solution until I buy a higher-end frame. It holds my 150 pound mattress just fine. I’ve slept so good now that I have a noise free and solid frame and a good mattress. Recommend!

Putting this bad boy together was a dream. I have been assembling stuff like this for 20 years and have wanted to burn some pieces of furniture in the past rather than finish assembly. this thing was quite the opposite. it was wonderful. I can't recall all the little touches that made this so consumer friendly, but here are a few: - the Styrofoam packaging were in little bags so foam doesn't get everywhere during unpacking (granted a little more plastic used) - you will not need ANY of your own tools. seriously (see below) - on other projects, the bolts to connect the frame typically need to be held in one hand with a flat head screw driver and tightened with the other hand. these were designed to be held with your hand while tightened. - they give you a ratchet for tightening all the allen bolts. you will likely decide to keep it for other projects. it is a really nice little tool. - the predrilled holes for the frame line up perfectly and have perfect fitting grooves for the washers - the metal support arm is felted on the underside to prevent metal on metal noises from appearing over time - the wooden platform lays in with velcro. honestly, a brilliant idea. it will never move and it installs in 1/4 the time vs a drilling option. once you are done, you have a beautiful, sturdy bed frame. hats off to the manufacturer all the way around!

We love our bed! I picked this bed after weeks of looking at different ones and reading hundreds of reviews. There are so many to choose from that I was having a hard time. I've also never bought a bed without actually seeing it first either sooo this was new. I finally decided this was the one I liked most and went for it. The assembly was easy and my 6 year old did most of the work lol it took maybe an hour. I was worried at first that our mattress was to big and that you wouldn't be able to see the headboard (14inch mattress and 4 inch topper) but it fit beautifully because the headboard is adjustable! My hubby is also built like a line backer and the reason I was looking for a bed is because we broke the other (not gonna say how) but we have put this one to the test and it has held up so far!!! It feels sturdy and it looks nice! Just buy it!

I was impressed with the solid wood construction, sturdiness, and overall design of this bed. The wood slats velcro into place on the frame. Smart design falling into my KISS principal. There are peel and stick adhesive strips on two of the wood slats to help hold the mattress in place. (Mattress is on order, so have not confirmed how well that will work.) The build kit included a very cool, very useful allan key ratchet tool that made assembly fast and easy. The style of the bed is rustic with a bit of modern/industrial vibe. My only 2 complaints are: 1.) There is no lip for the mattress. It looks like it's going to sit on top of the bed frame. I'm assuming that's why they have the adhesive strips on the slats. 2.) Two of the predrilled holes that connect the headboard to the frame were slightly off. Just enough to make the final assembly step a b**ch. I don't think I would have been able to muscle it in place on my own. My husband delivered furniture all through college and built his share of KD furniture, so he was able to use a little man-muscle and finesse to get it to work. I bought this bed for my son while he's away at college because he took his old bed to school with him. I'm very pleased with the purchase and would recommend.

We just got our frame this morning, so I'll update this review once we have some idea of how it holds up to daily use. When buying this bed, I noticed that a lot of reviews are for spare bedroom beds, which makes it hard when you're looking for something for long term use. That said, so far we could not be happier with this frame. It arrived in perfect time. It was very well packed without being difficult to get out. The foam packing did have a super weird smell, but it doesn't seem to have gotten into the bed itself. Like most millennials, I have some considerable experience assembling this type of furniture. This bed had some of the clearest instructions I have ever seen. My husband and I assembled this together in under an hour WITHOUT A SINGLE ARGUMENT. The project could have been done solo without too much difference. The quality of this item quite frankly shocked me. All of the bolt holes are lined with metal threads and have divots so washers can lie flat. The wood is sturdier than any similar item I have ever purchased. The middle support beam has velveteen material on top to prevent it doing damage to the mattress. The perpendicular support slats are not only connected so they don't get lost, fall down singularly, or otherwise become displaced, but the ribbon used to attach them is velcro, which attaches to the opposing part of the bed frame. There are three feet on the middle lengthwise support beam as opposed to 2 or the even more common 1. On a king sized bed, this extra support is key. Could not be happier.

Easy to put together but you will need two people. It all comes in one box it weights around 100lbs. I did have the same issue that others said about one of the screws not catching. I went to Lowe’s and purchased a screw that was the same width size but slightly longer in length. I used that just to go all the way through and then used the same screws I was giving in my box and it worked completely fine. (Maybe something was just caught in the bolt I was screwing it into ) It was a $1 fix and was way easier then trying to get new screws from the manufacturer. Bed is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. It’s a very simple design and not “clunky” “bulky” look like all the other beds I have seen in the funiture stores. Also best pricing I’ve seen by far.

Just received the bed today, a day earlier than expected! It's a pretty heavy box. We took the pieces out and carried separately upstairs to our bedroom. I love that they put the styrofoam in plastic that protects the pieces, no styrofoam breaking apart causing a mess! Mostly my husband put it together with very little assistance from me. It took 30 minutes. Instructions are pretty straight forward. Layout all the pieces where they will go and then start assembling. Our King mattress fits almost completely on the bed. We have a 9 inch memory foam mattress and a 2 inch memory foam topper. It only overhangs at the foot of the bed 1 1/2 inches. Not even noticable. Sides are perfect! My only future concern is the wood slats, if they will hold up over time? They are on the thinner side. I was a little worried the bed would be too low but it's not bad, unless you do want to store things, which we don't. Our last bed was from IKEA and the footboard was defective out of the box. We had another issue with footboard a month later. 3 months later the supports of the bed broke. We rigged it up but had to almost everyday fix the slats that would fall. So really hope this bed lasts longer. I have been researching beds for the last month on many different sites and at stores. After reading mostly good reviews on this bed, I decided to go with it. Plus we were tired of sleeping on our mattress on the floor! I give it 5 stars today for faster shipping, the look of the bed, ease of putting it together, and mattress fitting on it. Will update review if any issues come about.

I bought this bed frame and headboard as a surprise to my husband for our anniversary, so the trick was I needed to be able to put it together all by myself before he came home from work that afternoon. This was such a breeze! I am a petite person and could handle the parts easily. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had it done in an hour and the bed is stable, secure, and beautiful. Such a good deal at this price. I cannot speak to the longevity of the product as we have only had 3 nights in the bed so far, but it far exceeded my expectations. I was nervous after reading some of the negative reviews. But now that I have assembled this, they had me curious… did damage occur from things over tightened? Or not put together in the correct order? Maybe there are some duds out there, but our bed arrived just as described and I hope to get many years out of it.

Mattress goes over the bed frame at the end. Headboard is very flimsy with movement.
