Great movie. Great for the G rated movie family. Great story and great morality. Travolta at his kindest.

I love this move and the cast really brings it.

This 1995 wonderful story about the common guy George Malley, portrayed by John Travolta, who suddenly gains extraordinary powers and knowledge, also talks about reactions of people around him. It is quite elaborately telling us how we could react to someone with such abilities and what we would want from him (or her). It really does not matter whether such abilities are given or earned. The spectrum of such reactions in the movie goes from disbeliefs, doubts, admirations, toward jealousy, sorrow, ignorance and hate. Like how it goes in a real life. And what he wants? He is looking for love to share and spread it around with his knowledge and compassion. He does not want anything from anybody and that is why he is free never mind what. Yet he still understands that love needs to be earned and deserved. Then he can ask Lace, played by Kyra Sedgwick, in the most beautiful line (for me) in the movie: "Will you love me for the rest of my life?" And she answers: "No. I will love you for the rest of my life!" I can deeply relate to his explanation why telekinesis and other mind over the matter powers are possible. During the intensive metaphysical workshop years back I bent my first spoon because I used the same approach like George in the movie. I asked the spoon for permission, partnership and friendship. Like young Czech poet Jiri Wolker wrote more than 100 years ago: "I love things. They are quiet and sad because we do not talk to them. They are shy, they wait for us to start to talk." Then I ecstatically was bending the spoons all day long, until it became boring and I could concentrate on the real goals why I came to such a workshop. But that is another story. Watch out this great movie, it can inspire you to try something like George or myself as well.

Very good!

Very good acting. Entertaining motion picture that can keep the audience guessing. Is the protagonist the victim of an alien visitation or supernatural something? Travolta plays a character who suddenly has abilities and intelligence previously unknown. Friends and neighbors are unsure about the character’s changes and what caused them. Is the story implausible? I think not. I feel that the story is entertaining as well as thought provoking.

I watched it twice to listen carefully to the footage where Travolta tries to explain to the 'masses' how and why his extra powers work. But all they care about is rag-news sensation. A very powerful message for "those who have ears to hear." I keep wondering why the writer didn't leave us with a 'little progeny' from John. That would have been so cool.

Avrei preferito comprarlo su Google play film, per poterlo vedere ovunque e quando voglio. Purtroppo, non è disponibile e non vorrei che Google decidesse di fare la stessa porcheria che ha fatto con la musica. Mettere a pagamento l'ascolto di una canzone che hai già comprato. Purtroppo, fino a quando ci sarà gente stupida che accetterà di pagare certi abbonamenti, queste compagnie potranno fare quello che vogliono. Le alternative restano 2. La pirateria e i DVD/CD originali. Ho optato per la seconda, ma capisco tutti quelli che si ribellano scaricando film e canzoni. Il film è molto bello. Consiglio di vederlo almeno una volta nella vita.

The delivery was days before estimated time. And the DVD in pristine condition. And it's a good movie too :)
