Use the correct oil for its intended use.
Not all oil is recommended for air cooled engines. So I decided to run the oil that is recommended by the manufacturer. So far all working very well.

Uncommon Weight
My EFCUT wood chipper recommended this type of oil. Apparently this uncommon weight is used in diesel engines, so I wasn't trusting what was available in local stores.

Zinc Included
This oil has zinc in it and it’s good for air cool engines. I use it in the lawnmower and my generator and I couldn’t be more pleased. We’ll definitely buy again.

Only use ONAN products on ONAN generators!
One thing I've learned after buying an RV is that the ONAN generators are very particular. I only use ONAN product/parts. This oil is a little pricey but is excellent quality and what ONAN recommends.
