The instructions are rather sparse but good enough to get it working. There are 16 different colors although some of the colors are just watered down versions of some of the other colors. All of the colors provide plenty of light no matter which one you choose. The light seems to operate on a difference of light rather than actual motion. This may require you to try different positions around the bowl to get the best operation. The control unit/battery pack hangs outside the bowl with a sturdy, flat, bar that easily bends over the edge of the bowl. I gotta say that having the bowl light up automatically, without a bright blinding light, is a pure pleasure. A big plus is that it doesn't destroy your night vision like the regular bathroom light does, so there no bumping into things when returning to bed 'cause you can't see. You get two of 'em. If you've only got 1 toilet, you could use one in a hallway or a closet where a little more light is needed.

Works great. Bright enough to see at night, the motion sensor works well, color changing features are cool and its easy to install.

These lights are awesome! Having to get up in the middle of the night EVERY night to potty has gotten so much safer. The light comes on when I enter the room & goes off when I leave. I can change the color to what I want or let it alternate colors by itself. The brightness isn’t too bright but just enough to see.

Plastic started coming off of the arm that goes around the toilet. Gives off perfect lighting to see when you go to the bathroom at night. Nice color selection my 7 yr old was thankful for the night light. Helped him not pee as much on the toilet for me to sit on in the am. Batteries lasted quite a while the motor sensor/light sensor works well.

We haven’t tried the second light in the pack, yet, but the one we are using works great with the batteries we inserted. We like the light blue color best. It’s subtle. When we enter the dark room, our movement causes the toilet light to come on making it easy to see where we are going. My husband especially likes having the light.

Just browsing and discovered I bought these lights (gave one to a friend) in April 2019. I am still using the original one in January 2026! It is a great little light. Since the bathroom is in direct line to the bed I didn’t want to have a night light that was lit all night long. This little light hangs over the toilet bowl (under the seat) and comes on when I am about three feet outside the bathroom. Every single night it works, and when the battery gets low it flashes. A bit of fun with the changing colors, too.

My initial experience is that this is an excellent idea and product. I haven't had it long enough to see if it stands the test of time. Colors and brightness can be set according to enclosed instruction sheet. Procedure may not be intuitive without the instruction sheet, so read it and keep it. At first, the light would come on even if I just walked by the bathroom door. I solved that by simply moving the unit to the side of the toilet facing away from the door. Really nice to not have to turn on the bathroom light at night.

This little light works great! Comes on automatically when I enter the bathroom, goes off when I leave. Great price, too!

I had other brand before , after 3 months bye bye Gone ! Replaced the batteries, never was submerged just like that didn't last ! This one you can feel the difference, please note this use Double AA battery the other ones 3 batteries triple AAA

I have 2 of these lights and have used them for 1 month. No issues with motion detection. The lights are great and my kid loves them. I'm not sure how long the bendable arm will last, but so far so good. It also still turns on with another dim nightlight in the room
