This kit is a good starter at home test for blood glucose measurement. I would recommend this to anyone needing to monitor their blood glucose levels. However, if you need to frequently measure your levels note you will need to buy more test strips as you only get 10 with the starter kit, plus after some time you will need to buy more needles as they degrade. If you are going to be testing multiple people (such as in your household etc.) I recommend buying disposable lancets as to reduce cross-contamination.

Very accurate. I am NOT diabetic. However, i like to keep an eye on my blood sugar. I had an icepop before doing this [1hr]. And, sinocare vs this metre shows that this metre [On Call Extra Blood Glucose Meter] is more reliable. When doing the other finger, it said 6.0. Which means it's accurate. Unlike the other device i used. Which would randomly jump from 7, to 9, to 12 randomly. [Probably because the strip can move via the port as it can wiggle.] Pros: Works in under 4 seconds. Doesn't wiggle [strips] which can cause false positives, easy to use. No negatives in my opinion. It's cheap, the strips are cheap. So, i recommend it. And yes i know dates are wrong on them. I don't set the dates right, i just input the date asap.

Good machine while I wait for mine from the doctors. I have just noticed a date on the strip tub unsure if it's a use by date. If it is then my diabetes readings have been wrong. NOT GOOD

Good little machine dose what it say you can buy glucose test sprips on there own. I like Idea of little bottle of glucose syrup.
