Eat Smart Bluetooth Precision Smart Scale with Body Composition and Eat Smart Performance App (ESBS-58)

I bought this model to replace a similar model I used for several years that finally failed. Really like the feature to measure % body fat and % water in addition to weight, since these are all important to assess fitness level. The phone app is especially nice since it automates tracking of these parameters, instead of me having to enter the data manually into some other fitness tracking app. I also like the fact that you have to bring up the app on your phone within Bluetooth range of the scales and touch the "Weigh In" button in the app to actually record the data from the scales, because I occasionally want to weigh in at some different time of day, but don't want that to count as an "official" weigh-in. Even if my phone is on, it won't record the data unless I've requested a weigh-in via the app. The weight accuracy seems very good when compared with the traditional beam scales in the gym and doctor's office, but I can't assess the accuracy of the other measurements. % body fat seems pretty close to the "caliper method", but I don't have any official measurements from a medical professional to compare. I use the % body fat and % water numbers for comparison and tracking over time, because I'm more concerned about the trends than the absolute numbers, as long as the absolute numbers are in the ball-park of where I want to be.

Scale was very easy to set up, with no problems at all connecting to the app. The app also plays nice with my other health tracking features. Really like that it will only record when I tell it to even if I hop on the scale throughout the week, as I prefer to use a standard weekly day/time to actually track weight. Weight seems ballpark accurate to the high end scale I use at my gym, and wouldn't expect it to match 100% since weighing in at different times of day. Body fat % is nice to have, but don't really have a a way to gauge accuracy there. Even if it only gives me trending though, it's a nice extra. Can't compare this to the more expensive sales with similar features that are on the market, but honestly can't imagine what they would offer that would make me want to pay the difference.

I am not totally sure of the accuracy, but it seems off - however, closer than many others. It seems to keep the bone density at the same value throughout. I may have to analyze it more to determine if the numbers are actually found by electrically analyzing my body, or by using calculations to estimate body composition. Fun to have, but my biggest complaint is that "vacation mode" doesn't work.

I liked this scale due to the fact of the app but it many different things a regular scale can do with additional profiles, calculating body fat & bmi. It a great product.

This scale works if you only want to visually see your weight. However, since you bought a smart scale like me, you’d want it to transmit info to your smart phone. However, the scale turns off before it transmits the info to the app, thus leaving me having to manually type in my weight Into the app to keep track. I’m going to return, as I wanted a smart scale that transmitted data to an app on my phone. It’s too bad, because it seemed like a good deal.

The scale works fine as a scale that also includes body analysis. However, I was excited about having the app to go with it, because the app and scale I had previously used were not connected and I had to enter my info into the app manually. The scale would not connect to the app once I set it up and after some research I found that it has been discontinued. I will still have to enter my info manually into my other app. My other scale did stop working though so I will be keeping this one.

easy setup, easy iphone config, easy to see without my glasses, seems pretty solid, and oh ya $100-200 cheaper than the crappy ones from the startup iphone app scale companies that some dumb VC funded because they didn't understand its a SCALE not a mobile startup, daaaaaaa

I was so surprised with this scale all that it reports and the Accurate compared to a friend of mine She bought a very expensive scale that had an app to down load on to her phone. This does all of that and it cost a fraction of what my friend cost
