Electriduct 1/2" Self Adhesive Hook & Loop Tape Adhesive Backed Fabric Fastener | Used for Arts/Crafts & Home and Office - 25 Feet

Perfect width for my uses. Don't expect super strength out of 1/2" wide velcro, but still plenty holding power for what I am using it for. After 24 hours curing, the adhesion seems to be really good. While it is not holding much weight, i am constantly opening and closing the makeshift entrance. I did staple gun it to the OSB as well as the plastic covering with a normal stapler. So far, i don't see it lifting off the material anywhere. Some spots even have a mesh between the velcro strip and some wood. It surprisingly stuck through that well. While i'm sure the staples will be neccessary there, it is surprisingly affixed well in that area, nonetheless. Everything works as expected and of decent quality.

I purchased this for the hook fastener for a car project - attaching my dash mat to my truck dash. The hook fasteners the mat came with here great adhesively but were terrible at fastening to the mat, so I had to find an alternative. After much research, I decided on this product and love it! The adhesive is phenomenal and hook fasteners work like a champ! Great for the price, quality, and quantity!

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I normally use 2" industrial strength 3m velcro, but I needed a lot of 1/2 inch pieces and in the past I have cut the velcro with a metal straight edge and utility blade, but was thankful to find this alternative to save the hassle and always have the smaller size available. I keep the hook side and the loop side in 2 different ziplock bags to not have to deal with them getting stuck and tangled in storage. I can't compare the adhesive quality with the 3m industrial strength, but I would guess it's not as string. However, it has not given me any problems. I clean the metal surface with alcohol, then after putting the strip on, I apply pressure, then heat it up with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then add more pressure while warm. This technique has worked well for keeping it from coming off the surfaces.

Adhesive is pretty strong, but I do notice after applying it the edges are sticky. I had put some one the back of several remotes and the edges collect dog hair. Every thing else I used it for seems not to matter.

This product is so versatile. I used it to stick blinds to the window sill so they don't make so much noise when the wind blows, and I used it to hang multiple decorative items to the wall. The velcro and adhesive is quite strong, so far everything is holding well.
