Acroprint ES1000 Electronic Totalizing Payroll Recorder and Time Stamp Time Clock, Silver/Blue

My dad had Acroprint time clocks in his business for over 40 years. Built like tanks and worked every time. I carried on his tradition with the ES1000 (after some trials with other clocks). Although not built like a tank like my fathers clocks , the ES1000 has been extremely reliable. I can not imagine how many versions it took to get this clock to consider every obstacle and problem from power outage to missed punches to daylight savings. Features include tallied overtime column, red ink printing for early or late punches, tallied total column. In addition, date and time is printed on specially assigned cards to avoid any possibility of employee attempts at "double punching". Programing and customization is fairly easy with step by step instructions. These instructions are easier and more intuitive to follow than the other time clocks I tried. The unit is locked to avoid employee program tampering. While the unit itself is not very attractive looking, Acroprint has never been known for this. These clocks were made for the back office where reliability and function are key. The clock is easy for the employee to use. Simply drop in the assigned time card. The clock sucks in the card, automatically aligns to the proper row, prints in the proper column and spits the card out! No extra button pressing or card alignment is required as with other clocks I tried. The less complicated for employees to use, the better! The timecards are fairly cheap. And, since the unit prints on front and back, a card will last for 2 weeks or more of normal punching. After trying other (nicer looking) clocks, I have to admit that my dad got it right the first time. Acroprint came out on top with features, function and reliability!

I am satisfied with the clock, but I wish the stamping of the time would be a bit harder to show up on the 3 part time card better

No customer service or technical support whatsoever. I purchased this product to replace an older Acroprint model. Right from the get-go it was finicky about placement of the cards, and it's super difficult to get the clock to print right in the slot where you want the stamp. However we mustered on and made it work. Just over the 2 year warranty period, it won't print at all and the fault code is just wrong, so we tried to contact Acroprint service for advice or direction. This is where they have lost all of our future business. The contact number they have both online and in the user manual goes to an automated call center where you get to listen to endless recordings about how you qualify for this fantastic offer or that one. This literally went on for about 6 minutes; no way to get out of it at all, and when I had finally spent the time to decline all the offers, they just started over in a loop, beginning with the first one again! I literally was certain that I must've misdialed, but after re-checking the phone number and re-dialing several times, realized that it is, indeed, the correct number! What kind of reputable company has a scam like this??? Ridiculous! So I guess I'll be investing in a new time clock, but it sure as heck wont be an Acroprint this time!

Power plug in the back of mine came unglued from the circuit board after 11 months of use, no longer usable, trying to get a replacement since there is a 1 year warrranty.

Have been using this clock for 5 months now and it works great, easy to use. Have had no problems with it at all. We're ordering another one today for a second location of our business we're opening. Employees just stick the card in and it records time. They don't even have to press the in or out buttons. We thought at first they did, and there was always one person who'd press the in when they were clocking out because you know how people don't pay attention---then their cards wouldn't get totaled correctly. So don't even let them press the in or out buttons and everything is good.

We needed a time stamp that provides clear printing and one that would hold up to high usage. This time stamp performs very well, especially given the high volume we have. I also have specific print needs which require custom output. This unit satisfies all of our requirements. We need to get a second unit soon and I will order another ES700.

good machine for a small shop. surely recommended.

The only thing we do not really like is that the clock is not easily visible unless you walk right up to it. We always like to walk by and see what time it is. We were able to do so with our old time clock. Not a deal-breaker, though!
