  rated 4 stars because the voltage regulated on the output is a bit on the low side but acceptable with in thier 4% margin. Yes it works and i have attached a video to show it working.A little info this thing is equipped with overload protection if you pull to much from it the output stops for about 2 minutes and it shows a timer on the bottom meter counting down to 0 then it starts back up again.Getting this thing to me they did not waist much time i got it in 3 business days so it wasn't really to bad i was expecting a week at least with it not being prime but im glad they got it to me.Update 2-19-17 : dropped it down to 1 star item quit on me and seams to me the manufacturer registered them self as 110-220volts i was referred to the manufacturer after submitting a ticket for refund/return request with the normal past the 30 day limit. Ok thats fine and normal but in the how to buy on the website for reg volt they have a listing saying "Our Amazon Shop" see photo as proof. Click the link sure enough there the Reg Volt items are but listed under a different seller name. I left a message with reg volt about the product failure guess i shall see what happens. Ive got a feeling im being run in circles now that ive seen that.Update: 2-20-17 got a message from the manufacturer in the body of itWarranty Merchandise PolicyAll warranty packages must be received within 30 days of the issued date on the RMA.A surcharge of $19.99 each will be charges for any missing packaging, booklet or item when REPLACING the unit.Repairs are processed within 3-6 weeks of package receipt.All shipping is the customers responsibilityyep you read it rite ALL SHIPPING CHARGES.and 20 Bucks for each missing item from the original packaging including the packaging. Costing up to 60 bucks if you dont have the original packaging at all along with the adapter and the manual oh and lets not forget the shipping to and from.So in short it works good but pray it dont fail and tuck the original packaging away some where untill the warranty is gone other wise if your missing all 3 plus the shipping toss it in the garbage and buy another one cause youll be out about the same money.For me i saved everything in my closet just in case and its a good thing i did Ill update more later. Oh yeah 3 to 6 weeks for repair.Update 2-24-17 They offered a one time replacement for 40 or an upgrade to the 2000 watt model for 50 i figured ide be out at least 50 in shipping and took the upgrade option. Got it 2 days later.Now about the fail point of the 1500 the voltage selector had a internal thermal melt down and 2 wires melted together that was going to the voltage input selector pulled those apart and bypassed the input selector and used electrical tape where needed. This problem could have been avoided if the wire gauge was one size bigger and the ac input voltage selector was rated higher as well. Problem was the input design was not meant to handle 750 watts for 3 hours before the wattage reduced. It did take at least 40 hours for it to fail but it did.Charging solar batteries takes longer then what this thing is designed to do on the input side but at least its working again and I will most likely increase the wire size to prevent any future problems. Bypassing the input selector i made it 110v ill never use 220 volt as an input option for this so no big deal. 4 stars due to lack of 60% load handling on the input with out problems.

Looks nice and works OK until you put it under load. Mine went up in smoke literally. I have other similarly rated converters that are more powerful and with toriodal transformers that are more efficient. I'd order double what you think you need in terms of Watts if you go with this model.

I bought mine less than 2 years ago. I used it to power a flat screen and an apple TV, i.e. about 1/10 of its rated power. I avoided intempestive on/off cycle by letting it on all the time. It died a couple of days ago. No smoke, the fuse is still intact, just dead and this is not the inexistent support form the seller that helped me to troubleshoot the issue. I believed that making a 100USD bet on such device would be worth and that it would last 5 to 10 years. Well it was a bad one. Move away from this item. I opened it by curiosity. I didn't find any trace of overheating, defect parts, hot spot. Nevertheless It feels pretty cheap inside and for sure the components does not look better than any other step up TF you can find about half price on the market. Yes it looks nice from outside but 100USD for less than 2 years of gentle and careful use does not make it a good bang for your bucks.
