Timberland PRO Men's Boondock 6 Inch Composite Safety Toe Waterproof Industrial Work Boot

I spent a lot of time researching work boots before buying these, and I’m glad I did. The quality is outstanding right out of the box, and they feel like they’re built to last. They’re surprisingly comfortable for such a rugged boot. Once broken in, they’ve provided excellent support whether I’m on my feet all day, walking job sites, or working outdoors. The waterproofing has also been great, keeping my feet dry without making the boots feel overly heavy. The construction and materials are exactly what I’d expect from Timberland PRO. They feel durable, offer great traction, and inspire confidence on different types of terrain. If you’re looking for a dependable pair of work boots that prioritize both comfort and durability, these are well worth the investment.

I've worn these boots since 2007, finally ordering a 4th pair. First pair I received from a Timberland sponsored community service project. These are very comfortable boots to wear 10+hrs on concrete floors, outdoors etc. The leather holds up very well and is very supple unlike some red wing boots and anecdotally 10x more comfortable than redwings as those are the standard to which every safety toe work boot is compared. They do seemingly loosen up a bit too much after a year but replacing the insole and wearing wool boot socks alleviates this issue. Most pairs I've owned have lasted 2-3 years of 50+ hrs/wk with the first pair lasting about 5 years (less use). They are heavy boots, when compared with much of what is available, and the first thing anyone who picks them up comments on but the comfort and stability these provide is unmatched by any other safety toe boot I have tried. The primary failure point that I've had with ALL of these boots are the laces, the eyelets cut through laces fast. Even polyamide (kevlar) laces don't last and I've tried various "unbreakable" laces. Polyamide is the only thing that lasts more than 6mo on these boots. The true death knoll for these boots always seems to be the sole splits/tears off near the toe/side of the toe. The soles are sewn into the leather of the boot but it's just not enough and tears through eventually. If Timberland could do anything to improve the eyelets and reinforce the sole to boot attachment these would probably last 5 years as you don't abuse your boots. That being said, since the soles are rather heavy and the failure point is the sole separating, people who like to kick heavy objects (pallets, boards, whatever) to move them around will ruin these boots quickly. Especially if you use the toe of the sole. Puts a ton of stress on the attachment and will tear the sole off. I am not saying they can't stand abuse but doing this is from my experience what causes them to fail. If I didn't kick anything with them they would likely last twice as long. TL;DR these are great boots that are comfortable and last quite long for hardworking/abused work boots. Laces tend to break/get cut more often and the soles eventually tear away near the toe after 2-3 years (for me).

After my first waterproof work boots I got from Scheels quit working, and after my water proof caterpillar work boots I got off here quit working I took a chance on these and so far they are working great. The first two work boots I had only lasted one year each. These have so far worked pretty well, though I don't believe it's been a full year yet. However, they show no signs of breaking down yet. I take care of them pretty well, by cleaning them and putting a type of leather protectant on them they have stayed nice. Pros: 1. The composite toe which absorbs blows pretty well. No need for steel toe where I work but this helps. 2. Waterproof (so far). 3. Looks good. (hard to find a good pair of work boots that also look nice) 4. Laces have surprisingly held up even till now. But you never know. 5. Felt pretty comfy at first (though it's starting to wear off or go away? Possibly the padding on the inside is wearing out cause of use idk). Cons: 1. Squeaky. Unfortunately these squeak a lot especially on polished floors. I was hoping it would go away once they got broke in and wore off the first layer on the bottom but they continue to squeak. Not as bad some some shoes iv seen but it's a bit annoying. Though might be okay to endure this to have good boots. Only time will tell. 2. Feels like the cushion on the bottom is wearing out but it's been over 6 months I would say so it's not a big surprise. I am guessing every boot the cushion wears out. Just need to maybe look into getting inserts soon. Not a big con. So, I like these boots so far. I am just worried they will wear out after just one years of use like every other boot iv tried. I want a boot that can last at least a few years before needing replacing. I know it's not as profitable for the company when they don't get a sale as often. But if I have a good quality boot that lasts a long time, im for sure gonna keep giving my business to that company. I want reliability and dependability when it comes to important stuff such as what im having to stand on for sometimes hours a day. I will update this in the future if I come across any problems.

This is a really nice, well built, good-looking boot that fits GREAT. About myself. I'm 6'3" and weigh 350 lbs. I have wide feet. Won't even consider a boot or sneaker that's not a wide size and even then, they don't always fit. I wore these in my house for 4-5 hours. Heels stay in place with no rubbing and the anti-fatigue insoles make walking very comfortable. This boot is wide and provides a lot of support yet stays in place on your foot. In other words, it doesn't feel like your feet are swimming in them. Toe box is great. I was surprised how easy it was for me to move my toes around especially being a composite toe. Not being able to move my toes around is almost always an issue for me and that's with boots that are soft toe, these are a composite toe. Also, this boot is very easy to get on and off. You don't have to wrestle with them for ten minutes just getting them on and laced up or getting them off. The only issue with this boot is the eyelet/speed hook combination at the top of the boot. They stick out pretty far on the inside of the boot and dig into my skin. Bad....bad design! I wish Timberland either went with an eyelet or a speed hook not this AIO nonsense. Awful design! Truly heinous! Feels like there's a Pitbull biting on the side of my leg. Terrible! Even though I had to return, the fit/feel, support and look of this boot is so great, I still give it 5 stars. I'll return for the 8" boot. The eyelets/speed hooks are higher up on the 8" boot and you don't have to lace them all the way up just to keep them on your feet. FYI people. This is a work boot. It's big, bulky and heavy. They're supposed to be that way. If you don't want that then don't buy this boot. I've read a lot of reviews here where people complained about that. If you don't want big and bulky than try a cheap hiking style boot like something from Merrell. Will let you know how the 8" boot feels.

Bought my first pair of Timberland Pro 6" Boondocks in 2021. Used hard but non-continuously (I'm an archaeologist, so our field projects are usually for a few months at a time, then a break for a few weeks, then back to the field, then a break, etc. I would estimate I've spend 1500 hours each year in the field while wearing these boots. Not the best for hiking projects given their weight, but they survived several field seasons in South Dakota, where I personally walked at least 1900 total miles over 3 years of the project (six days a week for about 5 months at a time, 5 miles per day on average) plus countless other projects and thousands of shovel test excavations across the country.) Ultimately, the uppers started breaking down on me, mostly at the main flex point just rear of the toe cap. Once the cracks in the leather there were deep enough, all water-proofing was gone. Most of the last 2 months, my feet were wet from the morning dew and pretty much stayed that way all day (ONLY because the 4-year old uppers are now worn out, mind you.) The tread, amazingly, is still intact and not worn smooth! When the boots were newer, the waterproofing was adequate, and if I'd have done any leather treatment periodically, I probably could have gotten a season or two more out of them. As with all leather footwear, once dirt has a chance to infuse the leather, which happens often when you're digging holes with a shovel all day, the waterproofing takes a massive hit. I'm just terrible about cleaning the leather as I should. But I still can't complain... If I'd have gotten a cheaper ~$100 pair of safety toed boots, I'd be lucky to get more than a year out of them before the soles wore through or the upper disintegrated. That I got 4 years out of these Timberlands speaks volumes for me of their value for the cost. The only complaint I have about the boots is they are a little heavy, and for me, they seemed to take forever to break in. But that isn't stopping me from buying a replacement pair today. As with any safety toe boot, I'd recommend going with the Wide fit; in my opinion, the "wide" is still a little narrow, but that may just be my feet. Length seems pretty normal, as a 10.5 wide fits much like any other shoe I have in 10.5 size.

i just got them and started using them. the footbox was really important. i have narrow feets but i like to spread my toes out so i got the 9.5 wide. i use semi thick socks and its still a bit long. im going to assume the boot is true to size because my feet is 9.0 US and theres still a lot of room in front of it. go true to size and order wide. your toes will love it. as im walking around, my lower shin hits the top of the boot. that can be good or bad depending on how you see it. it lets me know that i can step in deep water but then just walking around will be annoying as it will hit it often. i wish they made these boots in all black and not have all that orange on there. my work wants all black so im hoping that i can get away with the amount of orange there is. in the pictures, all that orange you see is darker than what you see in real life. its a bit bright so maybe ill color it with a permenant marker. the toe cap is hella stiff and strong. I feel like i can hammer something with it or kick wood and not feel a thing. because these are new, the cushion is nice but i would recommend getting feet cushions that are more thicker, especially if you work in construction or work that requires safety boots. the reason being is that foam will naturally compress with time so you're going to need to change it out. another thing i wish which is possible because other boots can do the same is to have a side zip and being waterproof at the same time. im not a fan of tying my shoes because in my line of work, if there is an emergency, you have to rush to put on your boots and then run to it. if there was a side zip, it would be awesome. once you go side zip, you never want to use any other style of boots. trust me on that one.

First and foremost, I'm glad I dropped the money on these. I have been eyeballing and researching boots for months. What brought me to these...and specifically this brand...was the upper eyelets. I'm sure everyone ever who has bought boots get tired of shredding laces around the boot hooks at the top. Timberland's I found I have proprietary design that has a rounded U-Type that is easier on the laces, but also has a built in traditional loop hole integrated into it. This in my opinion is a superior design because it caters to user preferences. Me, I like the a traditional hole...no pun intended. Lol. The design of these boots haven't changed in years. It's works and has worked for years. I have other boots in this price point that I hate wearing sometimes because my toes hit everything. Getting in and out of the car carelessly, sitting being the desk at work, getting on and off equipment....if something is there to touch and I'm not mindful of it, I'm gonna hit it. Yeah, I get it, they are boots, they are leather, it should be durable enough to take the occasional hit this and that. But it urks me. The fact that the Boondock has a dedicated area that I can hit whatever and it won't mess up the leather is the other selling point for me. And can I talk about how comfortable these are. As heavy and billet as these are, damn are these comfortable. It's like strapping into a tank that has seats built by Cadillac. Usually I have to go and get some different inserts. So far, I haven't got the feeling that I'll need to do that with these. My only gripe...if there is one....these are made in Bangladesh and not the USA. Usually I would question the quality control. But based on the feedback from other buyers and the quality that I see in the ones I received, I'm confident that Timberland quality controls their product at their Bangladesh sight.

The boots them selves are great very waterproof which is what I needed now my feet are wet and freezing for 11 hours straight no more trench foot however if you do purchase this item I would recommend you buy better laces the ones it comes with are very thick and dont give a good enough snug feel like id like plus not long enough to really get a good tie other then this id highly recommend these work boots and for a size 15 wide they actually deliver for me what I need

El material de la bota es muy bueno, algo pesadas pero muy bien hechas, solo si vienen un poco grandes... Yo soy 7mx, creo que me quedaría el 6mx... De ahí en más todo bien, decici no regresarlas ya que usaré calcetas gruesas.
