Neogen 000550 Rodent Bait Station, Black

This was recommended on a YouTube video while searching how to rid rats/mice in our attic. I hate the thought of killing anything but the rats were out of hand and its dangerous. Snap traps were not working; they stole the food on them! Smart little critters! After several months of use, we have heard zero critters. It is now springtime, and I think they are gone. Great price for something that is easy to use and has been effective!

These are perfect so we have chickens and with chickens comes rodents we didn’t want our chickens to get in contact with our rat poison it did the job perfectly they did not get into it they couldn’t get into it the rats could rats lost the battle with the bait station it was perfect and benefited us highly recommend buying ! Easy to use lightweight easy set up!

Context: Bought these as an exterminator friend recommended them. Pros: - Work as intended. - Special keys needed to open. - Can hold 4 pieces of bait, which is plenty. Cons: - Light weight and will blow away unless you secure it to wherever you put it. Overall: 5/5; Gets the job done.

Very happy with this purchase. It’s made well and has two key locks at the top to keep it safe from children and pets. I’d still plan place it in areas where they can’t get to it anyway. Large in size holds a very good amount of poisons so it will last a while in the attic or craw space

Rodents don't want to enter the station, so I put the poison near or in their holes. The station is a waste of money for back yard use, but the poison is effective.

Does its intended purpose. I’m very nervous using rat poison because I have three dogs but when my husband told me he saw a big rat run into the shed I knew it was time to do something. My dogs never get into the shed but I couldn’t risk that 1% chance if I forget the door open or whatever. So I bought this in case they somehow get in the shed as a safety precaution. It is very secure and you can’t get it open without the keys which have to be turned with a good bit of force. The spikes keep the poison on place so if my dogs get to it they shouldn’t be able to access the poison. Of course never let kids or pets have access to the unit it’s never worth the risk but this has really helped me feel safer about our pest management. And yes the rats have been nibbling the bait and I haven’t seen any more.

I bought the NeoGen bait station since it is supposedly made by the same company NeoGen; that make the bait blocks. The bait holders are four cone shaped pieces of non removable plastic that can’t be removed. Standard bait blocks do NOT fit All standard bait blocks fit on a 0 gage rod. You have to use a small file to make the bait blocks fit on the cone shaped bait holder, and are more likely to break the bait block. Soft bait packs just tear apart when you try and put them on. The only advantage I can see is it would hold peanut butter really well, but then it makes it hard to clean.

This will fix the pests in garage and the dog, and granddaughter will be safe
