Looking for more Level 2 Readers for your child? There's a whole world of animals to explore! Check out: - Animal Superpowers (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 2) - Deadly Predators (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 2) - Prehistoric Mammals (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 2) Review: Didn’t disappoint - I read this to my nephew last night at bed time. He enjoys nat geo books and loves to read the jokes throughout the books! Some of the creatures in this one are really crazy looking. My nephew is 6 y.o. approaching 7, so he wasn’t frightened by the pics, but I think a year or two ago he might have been. To me, the blobfish and anglerfish both are the freakiest looking creatures from the deep sea. Review: Great series, even for toddlers! - My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!

What's in the Blue stuff called Water?
I purchased this book for my son who is diagnosed with Autism and aspire to become an Ecologist in the area of Marine Biologist. This book has very large and bright pictures and colors. It is written for young people and only has a few pages. Although I son like the book, even with the text bubbles and large print, he wished that it were more information to review. I really liked the pictures and enjoyed the information included. He thought it was a nice refresher. They were like small posters for him as was the NG Kids Wild Animal Atlas. He wants me to try and find the adult versions of these books. I am still looking. I would refer these this book to others.

Nice!
I got this for my 10-year-old daughter who is interested in all animals. Living right in the middle of the country, we especially like to learn about sea creatures because our chances of actually seeing any are slim. This is a really great little book with some really neat pictures. Although I disagree with some of the politics National Geographic seems to sneak into their publications from time to time, this one was pretty neutral. My daughter has read it over and over and loves to show me the pictures and read to me interesting facts about all the fishies.

Book
I expected more pictures I guess.. it's more of a book than a magazine. Maybe that's what is appropriate for this reading level.

Kids just love it (old review title: Not worth it, but entertaining for kids)
I haven't met a kid who hasn't loved this book. The illustrations, the weird creatures, they love it. My 4 yr old's absolute favorite book. Seeing as my previous review was from *my* point of view, but the product is not for me, I upgraded my rating to a five. Old review: This book is very thin and shallow in terms of content. It's kinda like a foldout in a magazine made into book form. Even 3.50 is too high a price for it. The content is somewhat disjointed - I feel that even a book of this size and subject matter could do with some structure. On the other hand, my kid likes it.

Interesante libro
A mi nieto de 7 años le interesan los animales acuáticos y le encantó el libro. Las imágenes son preciosas y los textos cortos y perfectos para practicar la lectura en inglés.

Sea Creatures and Weird in the title! Bring it on!
My grandson is enthralled by the deep sea and all of its strangeness and diversity. This book joined by a bundle of others was chosen to provide him with lots more knowledge, and give rise to more questions as his imagination keeps on expanding! May he always love books ans learning - especially about the ocean and it’s creatures - weird or not

Very informative
The book has great pictures and very nice information about sea animals. The book also teaches some more technical words for kids, which is a great way to develop their vocabulary.
