This CD was a give to my grandkids, they love Juanes since they were three years old.

I was introduced to Juanes' music by a huge fan of his work, dating back to Ekhymosis--his former band. I definitely was pleasantly surprised to find how catchy his tunes were, and also the lyrics are fabulous, thoughtful and intelligent. Even if you don't speak Spanish you will definitely find something to enjoy about his songwriting style. A Dios Le Pido is social commentary relating to the state of the world (I Pray to God). What a timely written during such an uncertain time. The rest of the songs feature Juanes' beautiful guitar strumming. You can tell it comes straight from his heart. Also, the mix of rock, cumbia, vallenato and ballad is versatile and never boring. Guaranteed to get you dancing, or at least tapping your foot as you wait for the traffic light to change.....Another beautiful cut is La Unica (The Only). This song is dedicated to his mother who passed away. I always love when artists honor loved ones through their work and talent. Juanes tackles all issues on this album---everything from failed love (Mala Gente/Fotografia/La Paga) to broken homes (La Historia de Juan) to social unrest (A Dios Le Pido). He is definitely a gifted artist in a class by himself. Que vive, Juanes!Check this album out. I guarantee you will want to buy it after you listen to the sample cuts.

I first listened to Juanes in my Spanish class at school and I quickly fell in love with his song "A Dios Le Pido." After sampling the songs on itunes, I decided to buy the whole cd. I was a little worried that the cd would just have one or two great songs, but the whole album is fabuloso! As a Spanish 5 student, I am able to understand most of what he says, which is really cool, and the music is great as well. I would definitely recommend this cd for any spanish speakers, students, or fans of latin music!

I've loved Juanes since about 2001 when I saw him on the Latin Grammy's. I love Latin music and he's amazing (and hot too). His voice is great and the music is terrific. Sure, I don't necessarily know what he's singing about, but it sounds romantic and beautiful. My favourite song is A Dios Le Pido. It's great. I've got a couple of his cds, but this is the best of his. For all Latin lovers, go get this.

I bought this CD after listening to Austin City Limits concert featuring Juanes. That was the first time I've heard him sing, and I loved the music immediately. I especially like the following tracks: La Paga, Mala Gente, Fotografia, and La Noche. Overall, the entire album is good.Great rock music, that's gonna make you wanna dance. Especially great for summer parties.

Funky little CD, really like the latin sound of the music. I would recommend this if you are a Juanes fan.
