Skill Sharpebers: Grammar & Punctuation, Grade 1

I am really starting to like this company for our homeschool lessons. No workbook or curriculum is perfect as every child, home, or classroom is different, so I did use along with another company's book. The most important thing is my kid does not complain when we pull it out and they are learning every time we do a lesson.

Great for homeschool practice worksheets

My second grader is having trouble writing. He has issues with punctuation and capitalization. I tried to remember when these things were taught at school and I couldn't. I bought this book and I am amazed. This workbook includes explanations and the activities keep my son engaged and eager to learn. I have tried other books and this book has everything we need for grammar. I am looking forward to catching my son up. I bought grade 2 to work through when we are done with grade 1.

Overall this is a good book and I like this brand but it's definitely too easy for kindergarten. I only did a few pages with my 6yo and then gave it to my 4yo.

This is perfect for my daughter who is still learning to read. I make her try to read the instructions as well as the problems. It's easy to understand and enough different activities to keep her entertained. Great for unschooling.

Great supplement for language arts for my first grader. She loves working on this book.

My daughter plowed through this book in a month. Her reading improved greatly through the lessons. I love that it’s straightforward and very engaging. The cutting and gluing activities were a big hit. I’m buying another in the series!

I like all of the Evan-Moor Skill Sharpener books. They are colorful, have puzzles, and cut-outs that my little one loves. I purchase them to use with the Evan Moor Daily Practice books. I just wish that Evan-Moor published an actual Grammar and Punctuation Daily Practice book to go with it. If they do, I haven't found it. I will continue to purchase all of the skill sharpener books to complement all of my lessons, because I think the colorful pages and fun activities help reinforce concepts.
