This was a Christmas gift for my 9 year old and she loves it!! She was able to get it up and running practically on her own. It took just a couple tries to get the clay to stick to the wheel base (it'll slip off if there's too much water to start) and then with the right amount of water, she was forming a little pot in a matter of minutes. The tools are fun and everything you need to get started right away is in the box. It didn't take her long at all to get the hang of it. As others have said, it is a bit loud (we don't really care about that) and it doesn't spin very fast but I felt that it was just fast enough to form the pot while not being too intimidating and it allowed for a lot of independence on her part. I'm very happy with the purchase and she loves creating things with it!

My 4/5 yo GC LOVES THIS GIFT!. bothbher m mom have been sculpting for HOURS since opening! They say it works amazing, all pieces are quality and it's the BEST GIFT EVER! we got an Open Box and everything was Just as Brand New. The motor/spin is great, clay great, all tools great. This project is a Win/Win❤

Good one for kids.

Not bad. Very good for a child or a learner with a lot of patience. Reasonably priced for what you get. The small size makes it nicely portable though it cannot go anywhere you’d like to be quiet. I use it with headphones on. I’ve never used a potting wheel before. This seems adequate. It is very loud. The speed controls are only on/off which can make detail work harder. The instruction booklet contains no useful instructions for use beyond how to turn it on. The wheel does not seem durable long-term but it’s quality matched the low price. With patience and a lot of trial and error to get they clay wet enough (but not too wet) I was able to make a few small pieces.

This is a fun gift for a child to receive. However, it seems pretty flimsy, hence the 3 stars. We got it for our daughter's 6th birthday, and she was able to make a few things with it. Parents beware: this is a messy project lol. Lots of fun, but does take some cleanup. Just be prepared with paper towels or magazines to cover the work space, and more paper towels or wet rags for cleaning up.

I am so pleased with this! I can’t remember the last time I got a children’s activity that didn’t have such complicated instructions and was really FUN ! Everything you need is included , and works really well. So entertaining and creative and a very good sensory play activity I ordered this for my 6 year old son and he was so frustrated not understanding what we got. Within minutes he was blown away and ecstatic!!!! SO MUCH BETTER THEN SCREENTIME GOOD FOR GROSSMOTOR SKILLS TOO CONFIDENCE / EASY TO USE A VERY BIG HIT

I Have had a lot of pottery wheels growing up, and this kit by far was the best I have ever seen. My daughter kept asking for a pottery wheel for her 4th birthday so I started reading reviews and found this to have the best rating. I am pleased I read through because this is great. We had so much fun molding clay and using the wheel to make little vases and pots! It has two different types of paints so they can choose which style they want it to be. More pottery looking or a higher gloss. It came with lots of tools that my daughter live experimenting with. The wheel is sturdy and not cheap and flimsy like ones I had as a kid. It worked well and actually it took some Getting use too because it wasn't intermittent like cheap ones I have had before. It moved at a steady fast pace. It almost felt like a miniature version of a real wheel!! I think the price is very fair for the quality. We will enjoy doing this together for years to come!! My daughter absolutely loved doing it and it was a great activity for us to do together!!

This pottery wheel is not usable as a pottery wheel. As soon as you apply even the most minimal amount of pressure to the clay to try and alter its shape, the wheel stops spinning and it makes a horrific sound that makes my children cry. There is nothing that locks the wheel to the motor part that turns it. The pieces fit together with a simple and loose fitting hexagon shaped insert. As soon as pressure is applied it becomes like an electric screwdriver stripping a screw. The motor keeps going but the hexagon shaped piece does not hold the wheel to keep the wheel spinning. I have no idea why other people gave it good reviews. We used it the first time yesterday and it’s going straight in the trash. I have experience with creating ceramic bowls etc. and have used real pottery wheels before. This is not usable for this purpose at all. A complete waste of money and a huge disappointment.

This was a Santa Christmas gift for my 5 year old son and he is delighted with it. It is simple to set up on a small table yet the motor is strong enough to continue turning when throwing a small pot. So far he's made 2 pots and 2 egg cups and a lots of fun squishy mess.

great easy to use potters wheel, well worth the money over more modest ones
