Review: Excellent edition, explains what Hume is doing - As a student, I tried reading the Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding in another edition, and found it hard to understand what Hume was up to. The editor's introduction (by Peter Millican) is very clear, and takes you through the development of ideas over the period, as well as a section by section account of Hume's arguments, so it all fits together. Nice to come away with a good idea of what Descartes, Locke, Berkeley etc. were up to also, and how they were influenced by the science and religion of the time. The edition includes other stuff, with summaries of their views, various letters and excerpts, and good indexes that make it easy to link things together. All makes Hume's philosophy very interesting, even exciting! Review: book was in great condition
