The writing style is very, well, stylized, in a slightly overwritten way I don't typically like but the author makes work for her. The content changes levels fairly drastically. On one hand it's almost romantic, on the other it is unrequited by the dommes who clearly consider men to be at best fond pets, if not simply objects. It has arcs of an implied mystic power to be evoked by women as goddesses, but also a very long and gruesome arc about a slave being toilet trained. Nonetheless, it's extremely well written and arousing. But I definitely wouldn't want to live there.

This was fun, and by the last page, I wanted the author to write the next page. BDSM is like playing the piano; you don't want to hear the same song every day. There serves up a wide variety to the kinks, to the slaves, and to the mistresses they serve, all done with style and humor. This set of stories kept me reading all night as they are compelling enough to miss sleep and they all are so interesting. I got excited just thinking that I would really like to be there and turned into one of their slaves or dogs.

This is a entertaining and fun collection of female dominant stories! Just imagine a living in a smaller version of the OWK but in London. Very kinky with some pretty heavy BDSM training. Loved Charlotte's writing and evil mind! I wish that she would continue with more adventures of the ladies and chattel of the SLAVEHOUSE!

Such an exciting and engrossing story! It is transportive. The plot was entertaining. The author creates a palpable world with her description of the House and its inhabitants. The Mistresses’ descriptions give the reader characters with depth, including the backstories of Miss Stein and Miss Pearson, the focused description of Miss Whitworth and her work with garden slaves, and the story advanced throughout the novel of Miss Tate’s creation of a human toilet. There is an element of competition among the younger Mistresses that adds to all the characters’ complexity and interest. The Mistress descriptions reach an appropriate climax in the transformation of Miss Stein, and you will read this rapt and enthralled. The slaves as well are treated with understanding and love by the author. The descriptions of subspace and of male loneliness and yearning and the divinity of Women is brilliantly brought forth. The “music player” and its role in House worship is a delightful idea well executed. Now it is off to find more fiction from the Genius Author.

Thoroughly enjoyed this! Created a very believable and gripping psychology of the female dominate who manipulates both males and females into her way of thinking and life. Miss Pearson is a lady who is a sedductress, a sadist. Supremely confident in her beliefs and abilities and one who eminates a supreme personality of great elegance and power. If the author is anything like her main character (I hope she is), this is a dominatrix I would love to bow down to! I hope we get further books on similar lines in the future?

In this series of short stories Charlotte Benning, who thanks us for reading them over a signature of the letter, J, has created a world that other reviewers adequately describe, one where men are totally submissive to women within a single establishment of four or five dominant women. So far, so good, as the basis for a fantasy with femdom the dominant theme, but I quarrel with the way the stories have one member of the dominant feminocracy choosing to degrade one of their slaves. There's no other word for it. Her aim is degradation of a fellow human, and that is a complete turn off for me.
