This is actually a well made product and is good value for money. My issue is that there description says it is for iPads, but that is incorrect. The back is too small and any larger smartphones or iPads are too top heavy and as a result, the contraption tips over with the device (as the Center of Gravity shifts higher up, thereby causing it to tip over. Not sure why they did not make the backside a little longer (at least until the midpoint of larger smartphones. I have taken two stars off for a deceptive description. I bought this to use with my larger smartphone (iPhone 17 PM), but it is very unstable and tips over every few minutes and if you do anything on the phone involving touching it (i.e. tapping the screen to get to a message). I then tried my iPad on it and it simply tipped over. So don't bother getting this if you intend to get it for larger smartphones or tablets. The manufacturer needs to amend the description to say that it is only suitable for small phones.

So this is one of those buys that had me double minded about keeping it or returning it. In the end, I didn't want to bother both amazon and the seller with extra transit costs over something with such a reasonable price, so I kept it. But, I'll still leave a review, so here goes: Pros: 1) Very sturdily built. Metallic with reinforced plastic in the mix for some flex, giving it a fairly minimum flexibility. 2) I bought it for holding my smartphone and it holds it pretty well horizontally. The phone also fits without a fuss in this orientation. 3) Clean built quality and for the price, it doesn't come off as cheap at all. 4) The points where your device rests on the holder have cushioned spots giving it a more premium feel. 5) Broad stand with four anti-skid points make it so that it's not as easy to accidentally knock it off or move it around unintended. Cons: 1) Lets get the obvious out. No height adjustments or swivel capability, but that is less of a con and more of a "to be expected" in this price bracket. I wasn't really looking for those either so all good here. 2) I mentioned in the pros that the phone is held well in a horizontal state. But that is not the case if you place it vertically. Then the stand becomes unstable as the phone's centre of gravity starts exerting its weight. While it still stands, but clearly the stand's own weight is not enough to balance it leading to wobbly reaction if you brush against your phone or try to use it while held. I keep my device on a table near my PC, so the fear of phone toppling over due to an absentminded hand brush, was pretty real to me. 3) Additionally, the flex I mentioned above comes into play when you try to use your phone when held by the stand. There are slight jitters when using your phone in this state leading to an odd viewing experience that borders on uncomfortable. 4) Charging your phone while on the stand is also a hit and a miss. While easily done mounted horizontally, but if you try doing so vertically by threading the cable via the hole under the holder itself, leads to a very sharp bend in it. Not an expert, but I've a feeling that this will accelerate the cable's deterioration factor overtime. All in all, the stand delivers on its claims, but falls short as a full package when it comes to basic functionality. If I had bought this for a tablet, I'd most likely have returned it for a more complex model, but for my smartphone needs, it's adequate.
