How does the adhesive hold up to high temperatures?

I've had mine on for a month or so now (in Florida) without any problem at all. Its just a basic 3M strip adhesive but they include extras if you decide to move it later

Is this mount easily removable, without leaving any marks or residue on the dash? I'm thinking of using it on a car rental.

It’s sticks and is very secure. Maybe using a hair dryer to warm the adhesive will help to remove it but I’m not sure how easily it would come off

It doesn’t didn’t fit my pop socket? Can I return it?

Sure. I would like to recommend a good product working very well together with your phone and this holder: ✅Guanda Bluetooth FM Transmitter for Car Bluetooth Adapter ✅

This phone stand mounted on the dashboard is strong enough to hold the cell phone firmly even over rough roads while driving. Compatible with i Phone Xs Max Xs Xr X 8 plus 8 7 plus 7 6s plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Note 8 S10 S9 S8 S7, LG, Huawei, Moto G5, Google Pixel 3Xl 3 2Xl 2 and more. Please make sure the pop socket collapsed first and then it will be easier for you to slide into the mount and stay put.
