President Richard 10Meter Amateur Radio Service 28 to 29.7MHz

The "President Richard" is a great rig with all the bells and gimmicks found on high $ "Export" jobs at a better $ The Dick is capable of 85 watts pep with only a menu touch this is a 3 final rig and has many features Roger beep, Echo, Talk back and a useful scanning mode that scans all 40 channels simultaneously. I CANNOT SAY HOW GOOD this radio is mine is set at 53/55 watts all day long love it! channel up and down buttons on the mic Vox and a lot more Ive owned a few radios in this hobby and this is one of the best rigs for the $ I've ever had the receive is on par with the best radios in the game I just cannot say enough about the Dick it can be turned down to run an amplifier I 100% recommend this radio. I purchased this radio twice Amazon took care of my problem and made it right.

I’ve been using President radios for a long time since the late 80’s and have been pleased with the performance of all President radios I have from the 1st generation Lincoln and George up to this Richard, the Richard performs very well and, I’m impressed with the technology and features it has, the output wattage on AM and FM are spot on, good on the PEP as well.

For the price it cannot be beat. This many options and this much power in a galaxy would cost you $400. The audio is very clear. After tweak and peak it is deadkeying 30 watts and swinging 70 watts on my Dosy meter. Not bad for a radio that cost less than $200. All features work great, and if adjusted properly, the best echo I've ever heard in a radio. I'm very please. May get one to use as a base station in the future.

The President Richard is the best bang for the buck. Mod to 11 meters, simple. Don't care for the 6 pin mic but you can get a adapter ( 6 to 4 pin). MAKE SURE you get the RIGHT ONE! You can program just about everything with this radio & even go to advance mode & adjust power up to 80W & modulation past 100%. But do this at your own risk as you can damage the radio. As for - 1 star. These radios are said to be made in Minsk, Belarus or Naples Florida....... WRONG........Bought mine on 9/16/22 and the label on the back says ( Made in PRC-----Peoples Republic of CHINA). I checked it for Covid 19 & the fortune cookie that was in the box says "USA Dummy-Thanks for the $$$"

Radio arrived as stated it would. Had it checked by professional cb shop and told it was exactly as advertised and performed exceptionally well. Very pleased .

Was hoping for something better. The radio I received had a defect in the white lettering for the front panel controls, clearly a problem with the silk screen process when the lettering was applied, that should've never made it passed quality control. After seeing that obvious flaw, I wondered what other flaws may be lurking inside. So I decided to return it. I wish I had opened the box sooner to inspect the radio but I was too busy with some family issues, so there was no time left to ask for an exchange radio, so it was returned instead. My advice is, inspect your radio as soon as you receive it, even if you don't have time to hook it up and use it right away. And also be aware, the President Richard has no ability to operate 10 meter repeaters. At least there was nothing in the instruction manual about using repeaters, repeater offsets or ctcss tones. This may not be important to everyone thinking about buying this radio, but it might be important to some folks.

This is my second President Richard. It Is a learning curve over a Connex or Galaxy. This is not an out of the box 11 meter radio. To talk to other trucks using CBs you will have to have it converted or convert it yoursel. I did mine myself as CB shops are not as common as they used to be. A big plus for me is being able to turn up the power from a menu without having to open up the radio. You will have to open it for the conversion. The side bands are a bit complicated but I don't use them. It has a good clear sound and my first one always got complimented on it's sound and power. I like how being small it takes people by surprise. Has all the bells and whistles I wanted without having to add more or spend a bunch of money at a Cb Shop paying to mod a new radio.

Radio przyjechało do mnie już rozblokowane. Użytkuję je w samochodzie w paśmie CB z anteną Midland ML-145. Bardzo dobry odbiornik, rewelacyjnie działający RF Gain - dobrze rozciągnięty. ASC również działa nadzwyczaj dobrze jak na automatykę - ostatnie dwa tygodnie jeżdżę tylko na ASC i jest to bardzo wygodne. Oczywiście tej klasy radio najlepiej użytkować z ustawieniami manualnymi, zwłaszcza, że wszystkie ustawienia dostępne są za pomocą klasycznych potencjometrów. Wszystko jest "pod ręką" i bardzo intuicyjne. Moje krytyczne uwagi dotyczą tylko podświetlenia - zmiana kolorów i możliwość przyciemnienia dostępne są jedynie dla wyświetlacza LCD i przycisków - nie można zmienić koloru ani przyciemnić analogowego S-Metra - dla mnie to mały minus, aczkolwiek nie przyćmiewa on tak bardzo zalet tego urządzenia. Jeżeli masz miejsce na tak duże radio w samochodzie to polecam !!!

Das Funkgerät macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Die Qualität ist sehr gut. Es ist selbsterklärend und sehr funktional aufgebaut. Die Modulation ist sehr gut. Sehr praktisch ist die eingebaute SWR Funktion. Ich kann dieses Funkgerät nur empfehlen. Und 11m ist auch kein Hexenwerk ;-)
