Sport Digital Chronograph Nylon Strap Watch

This the third watch like this I have purchased, because the watchband is just what I need. I don't like metal bands. I don't like simple resin bands like on many Casio watches. My persperation destroys them within a year. My first Armitron's band is still good, but the watch battery died. It was a pre-covid purchase at a Target store. My second similar Armitron had a defect in the velcro on the band. I had it for a few years, but I finally lost it, because it fell off my hand unnoticed. This recent is perfect, no defect in the band. The band won't disintegrate before the watch dies. This watch and the previous two are cheap watches, but very adequate.

I collect watches and this is my first Armitron. I'm biased towards Casio but after reading the positive reviews and $14 price tag I decided to give it a try. The biggest negative I've read is the wrist strap isn't long enough, so lets get that out of the way first. I have a 7 inch wrist size and this fits perfectly and it's very comfortable. Judging from the remaining slack and distance from the Velcro and fold back loop, this appears to accommodate a maximum wrist size of 8 inches. Measure your wrist first before complaining about this watch, or any watch you buy for that matter. This watch isn't overly large or thick and I prefer that. The display is large and easy to read at all angles, and the EL backlight is uniform across the dial with all LED segments illuminated the same. The resin case has no imperfections and is very durable. The bezel is very thick resin, I don't think any of my Casio's have one this substantial. Setup is easy and intuitive, I didn't even need the manual, but then again I've been using digital watches for 40 years. I'll assume the water resistance to 330ft is correct, or at least somewhere in that range, but I don't swim or shower with my watches and can't verify that. Accuracy is great, I've only had it for a few days and after initially synching it with WWV it's still spot on at the 60 second mark. If you're in the market for a comfortable, good looking and accurate watch, you can't go wrong with this Armitron, especially at the reduced price. I'm glad I bought this.

GREAT! A very good watch. Feels great on wrist. At frist looked wierd and i wasnt for sure about it. After about 2 hours of wearing feels great and makes cents to me. Looks very good to. I buy $75 dollar watchs and i like this one better.

I love this watch, but after owning three of them, there are some things to know about it: 1. I got this to replace the classic Casio F91W because that one's plastic band would break every year, and the Amitron's nylon band with Velcro closure is much more comfortable and also more adjustable than the set holes in the Casio's band. The numbers are also bigger and the light brighter (I believe) on the Amitron. 2. The first Amitron I had for year worked fine, even after getting wet in a pool, but the second one's display stopped working after getting wet in a hot tub once, so for the third one, I tightened all the screws on the face of it to try to make it more waterproof, though it could have been the hot water that did in the second one. 3. The display on the first one I had got very scratched after one year, so leave on the little plastic screen guard it comes with if you don't want it to get scratched. 4. The sewing on the band of the current third one I have came apart within a month, so I'll have to resew it with a thicker needle to get through the rubber "Amitron" branded end piece on the band, which isn't a big deal.

This is one great watch. Because of its low price, I thought it might be cheap or silly looking, but I figured at this price, I'd try it. It's neither. I own a couple of dozen watches, including some close to high-end watches. This is now one of my favorite watches. It's comfortable to wear due to its light weight and velcro strap. With other watchbands you have only limited adjustments. I always find one hole too tight and the next one too loose. With this watch band, it's infinitely adjustable so it fits perfectly. And, unlike a lot of my watches, it's not only not heavy, it's positively lightweight. I barely even know its there. Compare that with some enormous watches that feel like tuna fish cans strapped to my wrist. I often wear watches that are 40mm wide or more, but this is one step smaller than that, and I'd forgotten how much more pleasant it is to wear a medium-sized watch. The dial is completely legible even at a moderate angle (not an extreme angle, though, since it's digital). It shows the time, the day of the week, and the date. Plus the seconds. Adjustment requires using the little booklet that came with it, but I think I almost have it memorized by now. It's similar to a Casio but a little more streamlined and just a little less "tech-y" looking. It looks rugged and purposeful, not silly at all. Some of my Casios make me look like a computer science major, and I definitely don't want that. It also has a light if you need it -- and maybe some other things I haven't discovered yet. And the price! Holy smokes! Where can you get a great watch that works well and is this lightweight and comfortable for this low a price? Not often. If you need a good, solid, reliable, comfortable, and good-looking watch, here it is.

I've worn the Armitron watches for many years; they're reasonably priced, look good, and last a good while. I got this one to replace a watch I'd had for almost two years by the same company; it was on sale for under 20 dollars. It has all the things you need at a glance: time, date, day of the week, down to the seconds. The light is great if you wear it at night or in dark areas. They're resistant to water and can stand being banged around a bit with no problem. I'd recommend any one of these watches to people who want something simple, reliable, and practical.

Great basic digital watch. Yeah it runs off a battery. Thing is I can change the battery myself so it's not an issue. Got this for when I'm working on mechanical things so I don't mess up my other watch and for those times I go walk without my mobile device but want to track my time walking. Is very light and the strap is nice being that it's infinitely adjustable. I do suggest giving the band a quick wash to remove the sizing and processing lubrication, helps with the skin feel. I'll take Armitron's word on how water resistant it is. I think it's good for like 30 ft down or something. Way farther than I'll ever get. Case and face is a type of plastic and with that you will get more scratches than a metal case with a crystal face. It is what it is. So far am happy with it.

I bought this watch as an inexpensive watch for inside and outside tasks that could get a watch wet or scuffed up. It fits the bill. Being retired I like having the day of the week and the day of the month visible on the home screen. I like having a second time zone available for when I travel. One star off because all buttons stopped working after a month. Google suggested a reset, which requires taking the back off, which requires taking the watch off the band, which is tricky. Once the back is off, the minimal directions on the revealed sticker really are inadequate to see how to reset (loss of second star). With help from Google I got it done. Maybe the watch will be OK now.

This is my husband's review: I was looking for a good baseline watch with a clean, easy-to-read display with big numbers (without any unnecessary fluff and graphics or useless decorative lines or designs and such that serve no purpose other than cluttering the screen) and - very importantly - with a nylon wristband because everytime I get any watch with a rubber/plastic wristband, it always breaks off within a year. Lucky for me, my wife found this watch for me! This watch is very good for its value and it has all the basic options I was looking for, plus a nylon wristband. The case is smaller than what I am used to (I usually prefer bigger watches), but it does not matter as the numbers are big and clear and very easy to read. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product!

De buena calidad, reloj comodo, display muy legible, buena manufactura, velcro comodo, tamaño adecuado ni muy chico ni muy grande,funcionamiento basico, alrma, dual time, formato 12/24 hrs, fecha, cronometro, luz,..y el precio de menos de 400 pesos!!! fue una ganga en verdad!!...además tiene variedad de colores de la caja , la marca es de muy buena manufactura sin defectos en su ensamblado, y no le pide nada a casio ni a timex. El rojo lo compre para mí esposa y le encantó, y no dude en comprar otro igual pero de color gris. Armitron ya se convirtió en mi marca coleccionable.
