3M 4298 Adhesion Promoter, 3 Sponge Applicators

works great! used to prep my OEM chrome window trim before vinyl covering. started with a clean and dry surface. used a little cleaner prep wipe down then let dry before using these little wipes. simply wipe on, let dry a few minutes and the slick chrome felt super tacky and sticky. vinyl wrap went on easily and definitely doesn't peel or come off easy after using these wipes!

I used it as advertised. the sticky tape worked perfectly. Didn't try it without so don't really know if it did anything that the sticky tape would do on it's own though. IT'S NOT WORTH THE RISK TO NOT USE IT

I was skeptical about how much this stuff actually helps with 3M tape, but man, was I proved wrong. There’s a rubber seal that is supposed to be secured to the inside of my rear windshield to seal the 3rd brake light, but was designed poorly. Absolutely nothing could hold this seal to the glass. I tried every kind of double sided tape imaginable. Either the weight of the light or the heat from the car would get it off. This adhesion promoter and 3M tape finally was the thing that did it. So far it’s been holding for months. It works better than I thought it would. It dries in about a minute and is ready to take adhesive. So far I’ve secured that impossible light and my wing with the stuff and everything is still holding strong!

Not much to say they work as intended, though from other brands I found this one tends to be the golden standard.

good stuff for instaling car spoilers, it stick very good but , its kind of expensive for only 3 packets.......it dry fast so install fast...dont wait or apply slowly.. do it fast!

This works very well and makes the bond even better and I used 3M VHB which is probably the best.

No second try’s when you use this stuff.. get it right the first attempt and I’m thinking it will stay there for a very long time.. I used it for wheel trim on a mustang Mach 1 and it feels very solidly applied.. I will use it again for the trim pieces on the pickup truck bed.. in the past the sun caused the plastic to curl and deform. Ultimately creating loose sections. I think if I apply this product the tape holding the plastic in place will just work better.
