Pogo Connect is a full-featured smart pen for iPad. It enables creative, expressive pen input through pressure-sensitive drawing and button control. Pogo Connect 2 can interact with your applications to control line width and opacity of a drawn line. The drawing color can be displayed on the multicolor led button. With it's integrated palm rejection capability, Pogo Connect 2 also allows you to comfortably rest your hand on the display as you write. This is a big win for usability when taking notes. - Exotic pressure technology Under its tame exterior, Pogo Connect 2 sports a wild new patent pending technology we call a Crescendo Sensor. So where did it come from? It began as a research project here at Ten One in early 2011. Later in 2011, we realized we had accomplished something rather good. Here's what our Crescendo Sensor can do: It's amazingly sensitive, with 0 grams of activation force. It works at all angles. It requires no calibration. It provides hundreds of levels of pressure. Best of all? No moving parts, making it incredibly reliable. - Turn it on, leave it on You should never have to think about batteries or charging. Pogo Connect makes it easy. We've used new Bluetooth Smart technology to extend the battery to extraordinary levels. How many hours of continuous use? Perhaps you mean how many months? All from a standard AAA battery. Turn it on. Leave it on. Draw whenever you'd like. - Getting warmer Pogo Connect transmits a signal that allows you to track down its location. We like to think this makes Pogo Connect the first pen that's impossible to lose. You can use an iPhone or iPad to display your estimated distance to the pen. The distance information is displayed in a radar-style view, transforming finding a lost pen into a fun game. Compatible only with iPad 3rd and 4th Generation, iPad Air, Air 2, iPad mini 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation.

Pressure worked...kinda...for a while at least...and again*
*UPDATED REVIEW*1/5/2015 |3 STARS|Well...Not sure what to say. I bought this pen after extensive review reading on other pressure sensitive pens. Reviews on the PC 1 looked good, but that didn't cover all the iPad models. I have a mini, the first one, so I needed a pen compatible with it. I found out that Ten One made the PC 2 which was made for all ipads. You need to download the app first to connect it and change setting and such, as well as give you troubleshoot tips. It also has a little testing area for your setting and pen pressure for each tip that T1 offers for their pen.I bought this pen to do digital art. At first the pen pressure worked great in the native app test area. In other apps...well it was a bit spotty. Sometimes you COULD (I will explain this in a bit) tell and sometimes you couldn't, perhaps it was just me. I have tested it so far in Procreate, SB pro, and Concepts. You need to enable the pen in each app. I experienced a few disconnects while in procreate, but it promptly reconnected. Now, to explain. In Procreate, it is easy to get lost in a painting since it offers such control over brush size and opacity. Being used to controlling these in PS, I naturally used them. I barely noticed pen pressure in the piece I was working on. HOWEVER, I did indeed test the ink brushes, but pressure response was not as good as that on the T1 app test canvas.NOW, for some reason, I can get real spotty pressure response in the T1 app canvas (and NONE in apps like Procreate), even after tweaking the pen settings. Both apps are running, because apparently when you close the T1 app, the pen blinks meaning disconnected and searching. The pen is also connected in app and has 90% battery still, but still nothing. It just works like a regular stylus.I have not tested other pen nibs, but I don't know if I want to sink any more money into this. This should really be 2 stars, but I am still hoping for a solution since for no reason it quit reading pressure like that.**UPDATE**1/6/2015 |4 STARS|It is almost as if the Ten One gods have heard me or something. For some inexplicable reason (because I have tried this before) after a night of much app/iPad restarting and removing of nib and replacing (same not new) I have regained pressure in the T1 app canvas area. I may need to reinstall procreate because of crashes whenever the pen is connected and the inability to change input devices (it crashed when I try and click the option that is currently selected).I upgraded the rating to 4 because well it works, just a little inconsistent in my experience for the IPad mini.

Worked reasonably well at first.
Battery life very long. Radar location sounds cool, but not sure how useful if youre ifarther than a few feet away. Tip bigger than expected and therefore doesn't feel as accurate to write with, but haven't had any problems with it skipping or not doing what I wanted it to.Update: after using for awhile I have to downgrade my rating. Light seems to flash at various time, I think indicating that it's not connected to an app. I think this is reducing my battery life because I only got a little over a week on the latest battery, and it's annoying to see it flash through my pocket or sitting on the desk. This morning I tried to replace the battery and the top is stuck. Tried everything and it won't budge. Will be looking for something else.

Big design flaw, but does what it is supposed to.
I'm not sure why some reviews say it does not work with "newer" iPads, because it does. I have an iPad Air 2, and the stylus works as expected. I did have to send my first one back after a week. It just wouldn't connect. So the quality might be a little questionable. The one major downfall I see with this is the button. My replacement for my first one burnt through a battery in two weeks. Any time I accidentally push the button, the light starts blinking like it is searching for a device to link to. This happens often, and then I have to go to the app to reconnect. I have the Ten 1 Design stylus clip holder which connects to the case on the iPad. I'm a teacher, so I frequently am using my iPad throughout the day and the button is always getting inadvertently pushed because of the way it is exposed. This is the only reason I can imagine the battery died so quickly. The Ten One Design website claims it uses very little power, and that one AAA battery will last months. I can only see that happening if you hardly ever handle the stylus. Other than the quality issue I had with the first and the design issue with the button, it does do what it is supposed to do.

A nice improvement. Almost there.
A decent attempt at making a pressure-sensitive stylus for the iPad. Much, much better than it's major competitor, the Wacom Creative Stylus 2. In fact, the Wacom stylus took a step back in usability with the second version, whereas, Ten One improved on their original design for the Pogo Connect. At least now it works with the iPad Air and iPad Air 2. However, it still isn't quite there. Ergonomically, the Wacom Stylus is more pleasant to hold and use, with a sort of "grippy" plastic finish and soft rubber where you hold your fingers. The Pogo Connect is all metal, thick and a little bit difficult to control because of that. It is so smooth that it has slipped from my fingers several times. The stylus connects to many iOS apps and works with most of my favorites. It draws smooth lines but I find that the tip is too broad to do any detailed work unless I zoom all the way in, but then I can't get a sense of the overall picture. And the biggest problem is when you draw even a little fast the stylus line can't keep up with your hand and the line lags. I will use it a little longer before deciding whether to return this or not.

Didn't work out for me.
Mine is faulty. I tried so hard to love it, but it was too finicky. I did contact customer support when the first battery died within days, and they were great. But it ended up happening again, and I just don't have time to deal with it. So in storage it sits.
