arrived quickly and whole (unbroken) which is a good thing...
once installed by parrish services technician (i paid him to come and install it) it sounded like the public bathrooms whoosh toilets, it flushes everything… that is what i wanted, we were always having flushing, clogging, slow fill, no fill issues with the old toilet, this one is fabulous. after discussing the issue with the plumber from parrish services, he suggested a pressure assisted toilet would solve all my problems and yes it has. light touch to flush, the toilet comes in 2 boxes and includes everything except a toilet seat. once installed it was off to working perfectly. thank you american standard for making such a product and all toilets should be made like this, this is a powerful toilet.

Toilet paper won't go down.
I've owned this toilet since 2012. This toilet was less expensive than the local price. When I installed this, the bolts that hold the tank to bowl were loose and would not tighten (spinning inside tank). I called the manufacturer as i didn't want to remove the internal tank and pressure system. The service people said to get the nut far enough up the threads and hold the threaded end with locking pliers, so I did. After nthe toilet was installed, the flush is fast and strong but even toilet paper gets stuck on the wet sides. It turns out that the interior bowl is so rough that almost everything sticks. I can blow my nose and toss the tissue in the toilet and flush multiple times, still stuck. I thought that after use for a while the toilet might get better due to the water running over the interior of the bowl. After 6 years now, still this morning, I put a small piece of toilet paper in the bowl and didn't hit water only, so 3 flushes later, it's still there. I think that American Standard is selling the defects online. I can't imagine all their products are like this, but maybe I got the rare defect. Anyway, if I will buy locally on items like this, so I can inspect the surface finish.

Easy to install & no more plunger
This is a great toilet for a household that is routinely using the plunger. It has been in use for about 5 months now. With my old toilet the kids clogged it almost daily. With this new toilet, I may have pulled out the plunger 5 times, if that. Pros Powerful, fast flush No more plunger!!!! Easy to install Less flushing = saves water Cons Noisier that standard toilet, but not excessively so. Installation Notes I purchased the Fenco wax free toilet seal from my local big box hardware store. This was a breeze to use. No worries if the wax flange sealed OK. If you do not know your sewage pipe size, I suggest buying both the 3" and 4" sizes before hand, and returning the unused item. When I first installed the toilet, the water kept running and running. After LOTS of troubleshooting, it was a simple fix. The screws that connected the flush rod to the reservoir were tightened down too much at the factory. Unscrewing a quarter turn fixed the problem. No stars taken off.

Nice, looks good, functions x-cellent---You decide
Although it the seat is higher ( easier to get off & on) and has the power flush & self-clean ( the self-clean part leaves a lot to be desired) you still have to clean the bowl, build up is not nearly as bad as a reg. commode) The toilet appears to have a tough time flushing down the tissue, the water only comes down on one side, thus if tissue is on other side of commode it won't always carry it down. The power flush works great, but it is loud but only for a few seconds, because of high pressure. The floor ( 0) ring works great and you don't have to worry about movement. The power seat (toto) brand is quieter than a mouse & works in the up position as well (the last couple of inches) Home depot doesn't offer but a few w/power flush, my old toilet was gravity feed that I wanted away from. Have read that (power flush) can damage pipes because of pressure, this house was built in 1972--no problems yet. Is it or was it worth it-if your old toilet is working You can always put a couple of jars in tank to save water If you have a high water bill. the newer toilets are a lot nicer in design & function, efficiency even w/the gravity flush type I had to get one that didn't sit on the floor (bad back, bad legs) might as well dug a cat hole. PLEASE read specs on all toilets, what they can & can't do. This toilet cost me $400.00 plus another $100 for a friend that is a pro plumber. Seat & wax ring included. I like it getting more used to it very day!
