Prepara Herb Savor Pod 2.0, Set of 3,White

This herb saver pod is really easy to use. You just add a little water and put your herbs in and it actually works! My parsley lasted almost a month, which surprised me. This has saved me so many trips to the store because I was always rebuying herbs that went bad too fast for me to use. Now I can keep them fresh for a while, so I'd say it’s definitely worth the money. Cleaning is pretty easy, just rinse it out. The only thing I would change is the shape. I wish it was flatter like a slim square or something similar to that so it would fit better in the fridge. The oval size/shape can be a bit awkward depending on where you put it in the fridge. Other than that, I would buy it again.

Really love these! They keep my items fresh for weeks and don’t clutter the fridge. The design is pretty great though it’s all plastic and the little door isn’t the best at staying shut. That’s fine though I just use the rubber band from the herb bundle to hold it closed and mark what the herb is. Some different size options would be great for things like asparagus and green onions which can get annoying trying to make everything fit in one but other than that they are pretty awesome

Now, while this product does work and performs as advertised, generally speaking, you should be careful with it. You can easily overfill it, and items can still spoil while inside. The biggest issue I have is that because it isn't truly sealed, you can still smell some of the herbs coming through. This isn't a huge deal, but it does play a role. I will say that when you open it frequently, the smell maintains for the most part until the contents go bad, but overall it’s quite good. Regarding placement in the fridge: 1. I do not recommend putting these in the back of the fridge. 2. I recommend putting them in the door. If you don't have a dedicated space for them in the door, I wouldn't recommend buying these. In my experience, putting them anywhere else in the fridge has caused everything to become wilted or, in the worst-case scenario, frozen.

I bought a three pack of this herb saver. First off... the box doesn't give any instructions to actually add water to the contraption. I saw the little green plug that looks like it's for adding water, looked all over the box trying to figure out if I'm supposed to add water and then ended up having to google it. So... I figured out that I had to add water. You would think they would have wanted to include that information. The size and shape of the container is pretty convenient for storing in the fridge, so they did well on that. You can just sit it upright on the shelf and it doesn't take up much room. 2/3 seem to latch closed pretty well. The one I'm currently using (with the cilantro inside) isn't staying closed as well. Sometimes I will open the fridge door and the clear door of the herb saver has cracked open. I feel like it would be better if it closed a little better or tighter. All in all, I do feel like my cilantro has lasted longer. It's been in there a week and it's just now starting to wilt on the ends a little. Before with no herb saver it probably would have started looking pretty bad and wilty at this point. So... it works. It does it's funtion, it could just use a few minor improvements with the door closing better and instructions on the box.

I love these Prepara Herb Savor Pods. They work great for keeping herbs fresh much longer, but I also use them for vegetables like broccolini. They help keep everything crisp and fresh, which means I’m no longer throwing out herbs and vegetables before I have time to use them. The set of 3 is very convenient, and they are easy to store in the refrigerator. Definitely a useful kitchen item.

I love it, it actually works although after 3 weeks some of the leaves started to turn but it saids on the box it lasts for 3 weeks so. I love that I can cook my food with fresh herbs every day just by cutting a few leaves of Cilantro and all my other herbs I use. I just wish it was wider to fit all of my Cilantro. I just ordered 5 more to put all of my other herbs I use. It’s awesome it saves me a lot of money and it doesn't go to waste either besides what I do is I use the leaves that don’t fit in the pod first and once that’s done I start using the one I saved in the pod. I love it it makes me feel like Chef and what I love most I can but all the leafy herbs I love without worrying it’ll go to waste most of all I love that I can cook with out the powder condiments like I use to I’ll use like 3 fresh and the rest powder I usually freeze the fresh ones in (Sofrito style)

I loved the refrigerator door storage size and upright position. There were no instructions for use, but the whole with lid in the back seemed like you were supposed to add water (how much???) and I did so. My basil, parsley, and thyme stayed fresh at least twice as long as in the draw or in other containers. Next time I used them (about 4 weeks into owning them), the doors kept popping open. I kept thinking I'm not doing something right. Herbs didn't stay so fresh with the door opening all the time. Tried again today (6 weeks old) and they just will not even try to stay closed - I literally have a rubber band around them. I have been very careful with them and only hand wash. The "clasp" just doesn't work anymore. Of course I'm just over the return window, so kinda stuck with the rubber band solution. I do not recommend spending your money on these...unless you like rubber bands in your refrigerator :)

If I had a place to grow herbs, I would. But I don't, and so I'm always buying bunches at the grocery to use in a single dish. If I don't make the effort to preserve them (process them into a paste and freeze in an ice cube tray for "fresh" frozen herb bricks or, in the case of mint and rosemary, leaving them out to dry), after a few days I'll be sadly tossing out the limp and/or rotting remainders. To keep herbs fresh for more than 2 days, I've tried wrapping them in a barely damp paper towel and storing in the vegetable bin, or standing the bunch in a jar with a bit of water and covering with a plastic bag to make a "greenhouse". Both have proven pretty iffy. So when I saw these pods, I was ready to give them a shot, even if I doubted they'd work. When I unpacked them, I found my self nursing a spark of hope -- probably because they look so much like the astronaut cryo pods in every space movie ever made :) I tested them out on leftover bunches of basil and asparagus. Four days later, I used a few of the asparagus -- which looked fresh as they had on day 1; the basil also still looked great. The basil made it through a full week, which is a record in my house. And the asparagus are miraculous -- still firm and fresh after 10 days. I'm thrilled to pieces! I expect results to vary, of course but, based on these 2 tests, I'm ready to say that these pods are miles better than anything else I've tried -- and I'm already recommending them to friends.

Highly recommended, dill still green after 2 weeks and parsley still green after 1 week, however capacity is limited

Ich anfänglich skeptisch, da es immer heißt, man sollte Kräuter nicht ins Wasser stellen, sie würden sonst vergammeln. Aber, dadurch, dass hier die Klappe geschlossen bleibt, entsteht eine Art Mini-Treibhaus und das scheint den Pflanzen sehr gut zu tun. Bei mir halten die verwendeten Kräuter (Basilikum, Petersilie, Koriander) deutlich länger als über andere, herkömmliche Methoden. Das Gehäuse passt bei mir auch gut in den Kühlschrank, aber wesentlich größer dürfte es auch nicht sein. Die Standfestigkeit bei geöffneter Klappe ist aber nicht so toll, da bekommt der Kräutergarten gerne mal Übergewicht, geschlossen steht er aber gut. Insgesamt ein gutes Produkt.

This is an updated version of an older, bulkier herb saver (by a different company) I much prefer this one as it takes up so mu less space in the fridge - and it really does work. Thank you.

Très efficace pour garder ses herbes coupées, fraîches beaucoup plus longtemps. Cet herbier est de bonne taille et plutôt facile à ouvrir

It is a good product but the closing door is a problem.
