Being a Math Tutor I always check different additional sources to help my students to be successful on the tests, especially based on Common Core. Usually I search Internet looking for Test Preparation information, and then compiling worksheets for different topics. It is hard work, because there is a lot of outdated information with different point of view on the same subject. I found almost everything I need in those books! Part 1 has a hundreds multiple choice questions which cover different topics, and Part 2 requires writing answers, which is much harder, and makes a student to analyze, and formulate his answer in proper way. Guessing doesn’t work! All the books are well structured based by days and weeks, which can help with the planning of studying. I started to utilize those books in my tutoring process, and I’m very happy with the result – it saves my time and effort, and I have big source of worksheets wit the answer keys in one place! I would recommend those books to parents of my students as a perfect guide to be successful on Common Core exams. I’d like to order the book Math 7th Grade Common Core Workbook (Part 1 and Part 2) in near future. Review: Excellent work book for child having difficulty with word problems - This book is great for any 3rd grader struggling to understand word problems. My 9 year old actually enjoys working through these pages together. The book tends to incorporate already learned skills throughout every lesson to keep retention of previously learned skills. Highly recommend this workbook!

Good buy
As a parent of a 3rd grader I really liked this book, it offers an answer key on the back and on-line tutorial. It's not difficult yet challenging for my kid as it offers an array of questions from easy to moderate difficulty. I think we need more books like these that challenge kids to think outside the box thinking, because schools don't, but their tests do. This is a decent book that will get your kid's brain going forward.

Quick, 20-minute reviews of essential skills.
The book goes over material that has been taught throughout the school year so it's a good review for my daughter during the summer. I bought this book to catch any gaps in knowledge. In school after a unit test, the lessons progress, and if you didn't fully understand something, the teacher just has to move on to the next unit leaving the child still making those same mistakes. My child tends to forget a lot so this was a quick and easy way to review essential skills and review problem-solving. The videos are helpful, but I usually work with my daughter so we don't always watch the videos.

Good book for daily practice.
When choosing a math workbook, I’m usually looking for one simple thing: each topic is represented by a large amount of exercises. The “large” is extremely important as in math, like in many other fields of study, “repetition is the path to mastery”. Having tried numerous books, I can definitely say that this one (actually these two Part I and Part II) deserves a place on my table. The book is well organized and covers all material required for the 3rd grade Common Core. The multiple choice questions (Part I) contain fairly large amount of word problems, which is big part of CC, and the free response part (Part II) does have some challenging questions. What I like the most is its reasonably-sized daily exercises, which, if done daily, definitely improve results.

A Fine Book for Teaching Math
I'm not sure of the grade level of this book because my son in second grade went through this fairly readily during the school closure. That may be because Massachusetts has among the highest math standards in the nation. The book is supposed to be based on the common core standards. I thought the examples were good and reasonably entertaining. On any given day, we were able to go through 3-4 days of examples, according to the book. I recommend it for third graders or mathematically competent second graders.
