Be sure to use all the installation files!!
It took me at least 3 hours online with tech support for my POS program to get this working. It printed outside the program (Rain Retail), but when attempting to print within the POS program it would not print despite pointing everything in settings to the printer. It turns out there is a separate file called "Rongta printer tool" where you can change the emulation. Once it was changed to emulate the Star printer, it worked fine, though it does print rather faintly. (Maybe that is a setting as well...I have yet to discover)! The printer itself is very straightforward and easy to use.

Does the job for fraction of price
Like this printer so far. Can’t go wrong with the price compare to other brand. Downside is: - the indicator light and sound won’t turn off after receipt printed ( we have to turn it off and on again then it will turn off). It’s kind of annoying. - auto cut function doesn’t work after receipt printed. If you are not picky, then this printer is a go.
