DGL Licorice Tablets, 100 Count

Best thing I’ve tried so far! I tried taking Omeprazole and after three days it stopped working. I don’t want to rely on pills, especially after reading about how bad they are long-term. I want to help heal my gut (although I do suspect I may have a weak LES.) But two days after starting these DGL tablets, I noticed an improvement in symptoms. I normally don’t experience heartburn (I have, but it’s very rare for me). I just get that lump in the throat feeling, and can feel everything moving up and down my throat. Taking 2-3 of these a day reduces my symptoms, and I notice sometimes that I don’t feel anything in my throat at all! I sleep very well at night now and no longer rely on sleeping on my left side (another trick if you suffer from reflux). I’m going to continue taking these every day while also changing my diet. Any improvement in symptoms is a good sign! I don’t know how long it’ll take to get rid of the reflux for good, but this is a good start! WARNING: These taste awful! But I don’t know what kind of DGL brand tastes “good.” Just press down on your nostrils so you can’t taste it while chewing!

Good deal for the money, taste okay and aids with acid reflux. Not the cure, but along with pepzin product and taken before a meal. What it is really good for, along with Slippery Elm, is helping to protect the upper digestive tract from acid burn/irritation/inflamation. Update: I was beginning to get a bad burning spot where the esoph meets the stomach. On advice, I chewed (DGL pills don't work, you need to mix saliva with the tablet before swallowing) 3 with a slippery elm lozenge before each meal. I continue to take 2 Pepzin in the am. Along with Famodidine 2x20mg morning and night, my burn (peptic ulcer) quickly stopped and within 2 weeks no problem, per Endoscopy. I also no longer have any acid reflux. Doc says to stay on this regimen for a month then taper off the Famodidine and DGL to see what happens. Adjust as needed. I can't tell you how relieved I am. Remember that the Pepzin, DGL and Slippery Elm heal your stomach lining. The Famodidine is to reduce the acid. I may never get off it totally no matter what I do with diet, etc, but with the other stuff I won't worry about cancer causing damage to the linings.

I have been using these DGL tablets for years. Whenever I have sour stomach or indigestion, and years ago--Gerd, I chewed these DGL tablets Know that they are Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Root Extract-which as I have been told---doesn't spike blood pressure. If you like licorice you will LOVE these, however if Licorice isn't your favorite flavor you will not like these tablets. Keep in a dry location as they tend to absorb humidity. Highly recommend this brand.

My husband suffers from acid reflux bad! He has weened off his doctor medicines and just takes this!!! He went from almost having surgery and taking medicine that's bad for your liver to DGL....thank you

Tastes horrible, I almost vomited.

Works for soothing the stomach lining, but did increase my blood pressure. I never had any blood pressure issues before, always had normal readings. I took this for a week 3 tabs 3 times a day 30 mins before food and started getting headaches and when I checked my blood pressure, it was spiking. I had to stop and I'm back on my search for gastritis/reflux healing. The taste was just fine, it did not bother me as I want to heal. Wish Enzymatic therapy/Naturesway (now) never changed their dgl, it worked for me few years ago. I have tried other DGLs nothing comes close.

This stuff is truly AMAZING and it’s so simple. I have had chronic constipation since I was a toddler. Doctors have not helped other than to tell me to eat fiber and prescribe meds that don’t work. When I track my diet, I get enough fiber but for whatever reason I will sometimes be constipated for up to a week. I have been taking one tablet in the morning every day for a week and my stomach is literally the flattest it’s ever been. This whole time I thought I was fat but it was just poop?! My mood, skin, and physical appearance have all improved as a result. Would highly recommend. Also worth mentioning this isn’t a laxative per se, it just makes things easier. Tell the world.
